I'm a male, but I need a nest?

I was playing as a male hawk, 4/8 as far as dominance went, all clean and social bar filled and such, and when I tried to mate with a couple females... they both rejected me, saying that I needed a nest first.

...but I'm a male.

Um.

If you go to online help, then to online users manual there is a list of all animals.
Click on those and at the bottom is a link to the requirements for each animal.

Nothing said only females need to make nests ._. where do you expect to have the babies? In thin air?

I expect my female mate to already have a nest made or to make the nest with me XP
That's why I generally don't mate unless I see a real player willing to mate with me.

Your not really going to interest her if you don't even have a home and/territory of your own. You have to show her your a strong and helpful mate . How are you going to prove that of you don't even have a nest? I don't mean to be rude if you think that .
