[Alias]

Tabby blinked. "I..." He faltered. "I don't know." He looked at his paws. "I can't remember. I can only remember running. I was born running – I think. Can you be born running? I know things." He prodded the long brown thing. "I know what it's called, but I don't know. I can't remember anything." He then purred. "I can remember purr. It's nice, like; purrrrrrrrrrrr. But I can't remember why I know it. I just do."
Tabby yawned. "This long brown thing, it's nice. I smelt it before. I don't know what it is." He licked his lips and purred again.

Kachiri frowned, he was suffering from memory loss, "No, you can't be born running" she murmered, deep in thought, "Hmm your about a month old or so.... I'd say you were running from something sometime after you were born, then something happened to make you lose your memory. Oh thats a sausage by the way." Kachiri tried to think of ways to help him get his memory back, but she knew of none, all she could think of was wait and see if it came back. However for now he was small vulnerable and would probably be killed tonight. He needed looking after. "Look," she said lowering her face down to his level, "It's not safe out here, I can look after you if you like...?" she offered, finding the protective instinct she got when she looked at him very strange, but she also found herself hoping that he would accept her offer.

Tabby's ears drooped. "I can't remember what I was running from. It was big and scary, otherwise I wouldn't run from it." He wrinkled his nose. "Sausage. That's it. Saaauuuusaaggee. Sausage." He purred again, then looked up. "It's not safe? That means dangerous doesn't it? Do you mean that I will be Not-Breath?" He blinked. "Not-Breath." Tabby licked the sausagey smell off his lips. "Can I come with you? I liked the sausage, maybe you can teach me how to get one next time." He broke into an awkward smile, as if grinning for the first time.

"That's right, it does mean dangerous, and let me tell you there are many dangers out here for a kit like you; metal beasts, furless, coldness, dogs, hunger, thirst -" she would have gone on but stopped herself, realising she was being a tad morbid for a young kitten, she quickly smiled kindly and murmered, "Of course you can come with me, I shall make sure nothing happens to you" she looked up at the sky, it was turning a dusty, pinkish colour, the moon a faint orb as it fought to get rid of the sun. Dusk. "And yes, I shall teach you how to get a sausage, but not tonight, it shall be dark soon!" she told him, then bent down low and, more gently then she had ever been in her life, put her jaws around the middle of his body. She had never liked it when kittens were picked up by their scruffs, like a mere dog, and this was indeed more comfortable for the kitten she had been told. So she picked him up and started to run back to the alley.

Tabby yawned, feeling the wind sing through his fur as Kachiri caried him away. He felt safe with, she reminded him of a word. A special word. but he couldn't bring it to mind, so he licked his lips and waited for the journey to be over. On the way, he tried to go through the things he did remember. He watched the scarlet... whatever it was. The Up. And those fluffy white things were clouds. He thought of the Dark. He remembered running through the Dark, where it was all black and he kept crashing into things, and he couldn't see anything. Those round metal things were bins, because he remember sleeping in them before. The Furlesses leave their rubbish in there, but he found a half-eaten yogurt the other day in there. The more he thought the more he remembered. "Are we there yet?" He whispered.

Here I am!

As Kachiri ran, the whisper of the wind carried Tabby's question and audible yawn to her pricked ears. "Almost," she promised, her long, powerful legs lengthening their strides to give her more speed, however they also allowed her to move more fluently, making her run a gentle rocking movement so that Tabby could sleep if he wanted to. They finally reached the alley and Kachiri darted into the welcoming, dark warmth. She looked up to the sky and saw that the darkness was coming ever faster, as was the chill of the night air, so she ran to the very back corner of the alley, her miniscule bit of territory and slid under the dark blue tarpaulin that had blown their one day, covering her cardboard box. She set Tabby down in the box and retrieved her latest steal from another alley cat from it's hiding place; a good, thick blanket, albiet a little dusty and muddy. She placed it over him, kittens got cold very easily and settled beside him.

Nahuel bounded across the dunes, spraying sand everywhere, until he came to a rock, strewn with seaweed and over grown with plants. He moved some seaweed and bushes and a few small rocks aside to reveal a tunnel, he waited for Paws, for inside was one of the greatest beautys he had ever seen. When the moon shone through the cracks, the crystals embedded in the walls cast beautiful, vibrant colours through the tunnel.

Paws was astonished. She also thought the Sea would be most beautiful of all, and the tunnels would always been exciting and wonderful. But she never thought of a place liek this could exist. "Oh!" She gasped. "It's so beautiful!" She looked around, and saw how they twinkled like stars and glittered like the Sea. She brushed her tail against the crystals, they were smooth, and looked so fragile Paws would have believed that one touch would shatter them all. The smell in the air was damp and cool, and often she heard a small drip, drip. "How did you find this place?" She asked Nahuel, her voice still toned with awe.
Tabby snuggled under the warm blanket. "It's nice," he purred. His eyes met Kachiri's, they were silverish-grey, large and bright. "You remind me," he went on, "of a word. It's a special word. But I can't remember." He yawned and curled up close to Kachiri's warm fur, his paws stretching out over her's. Tabby slipped into dreams. He saw only darkness, but he could hear things. Like the harsh pounding of paws. Then Tabby saw moonlight, and golden fur flashed. Tabby ran on, too afraid to stop. He heared the roaring of the metal monsters. Tabby skidded, running away from it's huge black paws. He felt something hit his head, and his vision went even blacker.
Tabby's eyes snapped open. He was in the cardboard box. It was still dark, but darker than it had been when Tabby was awake. He shuddered, and buried his nose under Kachiri's paw.

Kachiri instinctivley curled around him, her paw resting slightly on his back, wondering what the special word was. She drifted in and out of sleep for a while, waiting to see if Nahuel would come back. After a while, she felt the young kitten shudder and his nose under paw. "Bad dream?" she murmered softly, licking the top of his head with her warm, pink tongue, her long tail wrapping around him.

Nahuel smiled at her obvious delight, "Brilliant isn't it?" he said. "I found it when I was about 2 years old, me and my sister hid out in here" he replied, gazing round as the moon forced it's light through the little cracks above. "I wonder...." he murmered, his voce trailing of, he ventured further into the tunnel, until he came to a larger clearing, the colours dimmer, due to less cracks in the ceiling. A large bed of grass and various materials sat at the back, he wandered over to it. The tunnel clearly had never been found since he and his sister had left, he pawed around the back of the bed, and out rolled a collar, making a circle on the dusty floor then falling to a stop. It had obviously once been a soft, shiny purple, encrusted with swarovski crystals, how ever it was now grubby and torn, only a few of the jewels hanging loosely to their place.

Tabby nodded. "Blackness," he said. "Golden fur." Tabby let out a brief purr when Kachiri licked his head. He tried to think of what the special word was. It was lovely and soft and it made his ears go warm. Tabby licked his lips, and thought. Feeling bored, he started to play with Kachiri's tail, and wrapped his paws around it. He breathed in, and the furs tickled his nose. Tabby gave a small sneeze.
Paws beamed with smiles. Then she saw the collar. "Isn't that what pets wear?" She asked. "It's rather pretty." She sat down, and looked around.

Aasim was looking for a place to rest dragging with him a large steak. The same steak he got from the furless meatkeeper earlier. He then saw two cats in the distance. He then draged the steak over two them plopped it right in front of their faces and started to walk away without a word.

Whoa! Lol, which two cats? =] Kachiri and Tabby are in the alley, and Paws and Nahuel are down by the beachy in a cave.

"Blackness...." she thought for a moment, "You hit your head, it's what caused the memory loss I think," she looked down to see him playing with her tail, then suddenly sneeze, she laughed and flicked her tail from side to side. She was happy with this kit, it was like nothing she had ever felt before, a motherly urge to care for him. "Are you bored?" she laughed, "We can go somewhere, do something, whatever you want?"

"It was quite pretty!" he laughed. "It would have suited you when it was new, your pretty to," Nahuel suddenly murmered, making his eyes as captivating and charming as he could

Tabby gave a sharp-toothed grin. "What about the Sea? It's very big, and blue. I see those small white things, but whenever I chase them, they jump away. They can leap so far and high. They have sharp muzzles too, and they only hav two paws, funny looking long ones." His eyes twinkled. "What about sausages? Saau–saaa–ges." He batted Kachiri's tail as if it was a mouse.

Paws' ears went warm. She blinked slowly at Nahuel, "I'm not that pretty," she said, captured by his gaze. She then faltered, and looked at her paws. "I used to be bullied a lot. I never considerd myself very pretty. Just..." she tilted her head, remembering the taunting. "Weak." She frowned. That was always one of the reasons Paws was very shy and skittish, and kept away from other cats.
