I'm a can be a bit of a hothead sometimes.... Ha as hot as your head is that glacier we were in should have melted into the sea",tundra called back.zula swung her head around and glared at tundra. Tundra looked away quickly.

Rosey jumped up quickly"my egg is hatching""come on out so i can get a good look at you" she saw a black beak and wondered if it was some type of sooty owl."its ok come on out"she cooed in a soothing voice.

Matar was better calmed by the time the second fledgling swooped in with a greeting. He merely swiveled his head in her direction, eyes zeroing in on her with almost complete stillness. His heart sunk as he noted that she was also a great horned, like he was. This simply met that wherever he was, he had not flown far enough away to get out of the nesting grounds for his species. Regardless, he smiled in her direction, “Hello, Silver.” Attention shifted to Rambos’s decision to fly up to a hallow. Again Matar contained his worries, and extended his wings to his side quietly. He waited till the both of them had already lifted towards the hallow before starting to flap himself. It took great effort and time for his untrained wings to begin to properly catch the air and lift him, and even more effort to reach the entrance to the tree. But eventually he would make it, and allow satisfaction to wash over him at the feeling of his talons clicking against the wood of the interior of the tree. He looked at the two other fledglings expectantly, “It’s nice to meet you both.”

After Ghost heard the soothing motherly like voice, she was prepared for the outside world. Piercing her beak through her shell once again, she widened the hole with her soot beak so she could possibly squeeze out. Squealing in through the gap, she tripped onto the floor of the nest. Her silvery-grey body was covered in a sappy egg substance, which had caused a few shards of shell to cling to her shivering body. She immediantly glanced up at the closest thing to her, which was Rosey. She instantly snuggled up to the owl's soft feathery coat for warmth and innocently squeaked, "Mommy!"

Silver looked over at the other fledging that had landed on the branch by the hallow. "Your name?" Silver hooted. She ran her beak down her feathers to clean them as she waited for a reply.

Matar fidgeted slightly as the lady addressed him, teetering backwards on the branch dangerously as he did so. He flapped his wings a bit and righted himself, clutching the branch between his talons tightly. "My name is Matar." He bowed slightly in greeting to the other great horned before him.

[Hope]

Silver smiled. "Nice to meet you Matar. Theres no reason to get fidgety around me." she giggled at the way Matar acted.

Rosey cocked her head at the hatchling. It was much to large to be a sooty like she had assumed and it wasn't silver enough to be a great grey. Was it maybe a hagsfiend? no no something this innocent could not even dare be a hagsfiend hatchling. For now she pushed these thoughts to the back of her mind and was flooded with motherly instincts. She felt like she needed to regurgitate food to feed this chick and so she did."ack ack blaaaaaaah" "that felt disguting but you seem to like it dont you....,and then a single name burst into her head"ghost" "my little ghost" she said in a soothing voice.

Ghost swallowed the regurgitated food happily, then, sleepily the young chick cuddled up to Rosey's warm body, chirping happily. After the chick heard her new name she repeated it adorably "Ghost!" She then settled down, still laying against Rosey, and began to drift off into her first sleep.

Nightmare flew over and pushed zula out of the way. His feathers were fluffed up and he seemed darker than normal. after his fluff had dissapeared and his dark feathers grew in there were rumors of him being related to hagsfiends but those rumors dissapeard after a few weeks and he had grown into a fine gaurdian.

Nina flew close to Nightmare who was watching Zula out of the corner of his eye. He didnt say anything and continoud flying.

Zula puffed up her feathers indignantly and flew back to her place next to tundra."well i tried apologizing and i didnt even get a response" Zula fumed quietly to tundra"all i got was a push from nightmare and a suspicious stare. were almost at stormfast island were we can rest there for the day and then fly to the hrath'gar glacier were all the kraals are" "one sec"She flew to were madame plonk was flying"how you holding up back here madame plonk?" "im excited to be back in the northern kingdoms again, only if thora could join us but sadly nyra killed her " Zula touched the tip of her wing with hers in the only comforting gesture she could do in flight"shes probably watching us from glaumora."
Rosey examined the chick that had cuddled up to her she got up when she was sure the chick was asleep and quickly flew to the library and got a book on owlets and another on bird species and flew back.Minutes later she discovered that ghost was an condor. "Well at least she isn't a hagsfiend chick" "My little condor" she whispered

Nine flew over to the two. "Guess I acepted your apoligy." She smiled. "Hope you learned your lession!" she laughed.

Zula laughed along with Nina.For once she was getting along with someone other than Tundra and Rosey and felt good to be nice. "Alright everyone we will rest here for the night" she said flying down to a group of trees that had nice hollows in them.

Nina landed neatly on a branch below the hallow. Nightmare landed in its entrance and hoped in looking normal again.
