In england that's what Orca's are called. When I first heard the word 'Orca' in Happy Feet I was like wt* is an Orca? That's a Killer Whale you idiots! Either way, Killer Whale sounds more awesome imo. I've also heard a penguin species called 'Killer Penguin'.


I might as well complain about Boa's being called Boa Constrictors.

Well, Boa Coinstrictors are, officially, called Boa Constrictors. Just as Orcas are officialy called Orcas, not Killer-Whales (I also hate when people call them that), even in England (I live there too).

actually both names are correct. orca is a name that relates to its official scintific name of the animal kingdom "Orcinus orca". the phrase killer whale is another name for it. Given to it for simply its extremly varried diet which includes seals,dolphins,penguins,sharks,blue whales,grey whales,and other whales,fish such as salmon etc.etc. Theres a huge list thaat makes up things they have hunted and eaten. The only thing not on the list that some would suspect to be there is humans. So they can be callled both orca nad killer whale as orca is name and killer hwale is a name.

Seriously, thank goodness I haven't seen forms like this for a long time. But really, Age:17, what, 17 days? 17 weeks? 17 sausages?? 17 years? 17 centuries?? And 'Powers: Electricity, fire and water...' really? Can you please, please, link your elements in a tiny, tiny way, such as ice and water?

And 'Appearance:white with a diamund on her head.' What shade of white, what colour is her eyes, what size is she, what build does she have and WHAT COLOUR IS THE DIAMOND?

And her relatives... who is her one last sibling? Why are all her other siblings dead?? What does her sibling look like? And why is her offspring all dead? What killed them? How did they die? Why did that creature want them dead?

Sometimes when people reply with posts like these and give you nothing to build on to make a good roleplay, you have to build around them and ignore them, so then they get angry, when it was really their own fault.

Needed to put this somewhere, LOL. Random rant about one pack on WQ.

Well, out of the 60+ members my pack has, there's always one person who's never truely happy. I just can't please them, since I'm trying to please everyone else. Yep, that person who's hardly ever happy...yeah, that would be me. I'm not that happy with anything anymore. I'm too busy trying to please everyone else, my own voice gets drowned out. And no one even bothers to realize what I'm doing. I do sooooo much for them, but they just don't care or appreciate it. Sure I get a "thanks" every once in a while, but it's not the same. I have to ask for people to actually do anything. They're all oblivious to my feelings, and no one cares enough to try and realize what's actually happening...yes, I am a REAL person. I laugh, I cry, I get jealous. I'm not perfect...
Even my second in commands don't do anything without me. Sometimes I wish they did, but then at times I don't want them too. So you could say that's my fault.
Another thing that tore at me a bit was when one of my very best friends over the internet wasn't there for me anymore. I could have sworn he was like my brother I never knew, always there for me until the very end. Everything just...changed. And then there's other members who stayed and I thought they were my friends. Turns out they were plotting against me...though their plots never really worked. There is so much drama going on right now, I don't even know where to put my foot down just to say enough.
All I'd like is a bit of appreciation. I do so much for everyone without them even knowing. No one, in the past year and couple months, has ever said "Thank you Kala, for everything". Sure they make pack art and stuff every now and then which I do love, but it's not the same as just knowing they realize how much I do for them. I do things against my own will just so they're all happy. But its not like they notice...or even care. I feel like a total, complete jerk having to ask for appreciation, and even ranting about it. But the thing is...it's true.
Plus, even though thats getting to me, real life is a bit harder. The only reason it's harder is because I spend TOO MUCH time on the computer instead of doing actual things. Nearly every day this summer I've been on the computer, and it's killing me. I've been like this for so long now, I just can't handle this anymore. Enough is enough. This pack is bringing me to my knees. I just don't know how long I'll be able to last anymore. A year...eh, it's hard but I did it. No wonder all the larger packs that have lasted a year or two switch leaders. So you may be asking "Will she close down the pack anytime soon?!" The answer: Maybe. I feel selfish saying this, but ASP is my life. Africa is apart of me, and I can't let it go to someone else. No one I know has put as much effort into this pack as I have, and I doubt anyone ever will. By closing it down...it could have all been for nothing.

To put this all in one sentence: I cannot last much longer, unless things change.

I don't think it's actually necessary to go into detail over a character's family unless it's absolutely necessary - such as it plays a part in the character's past.

I've always felt that when roleplaying, sometimes NOT including detailed information would be fun... Firstly, then posters can't be obnoxious and psychic. Secondly, it makes others have to actually get to know your character (if they want to, and if it would be in-character), and they form their own opinion as to who your character is, it's behavior, personality, likes, dislikes, and so on. Although species, breed, gender, and color should still be included... And it might end up with a character that would originally not have been allowed, but...

A new small "pet peeve" of mine - excessive use of memes. XD
I'M SORRY, it's just tiring after a while... Tolerable, but... It's just like an overused joke. It was funny the first few times, and alright - even still somewhat humorous - when new people use it, but repeatedly, over and over, it's just... yeah, tiring...

*cue replies with excessive memes* I know I'm just asking for it XD

Aw Kenya, I know exactly how it feels to lose a very close internet friend. :c You make friends, you become the best of friends, you talk for an eternity - then for me, talking grew less. Then there was none at all, some days. And finally, months have passed with absolutely no talking - although, at least mine was still kind enough to give a present on my birthday, and talk a bit that day, too... It was absolutely crushing. I blamed myself, I wondered what I did to have caused it... He twice explained that it was just school and that he changed, but I still blamed myself... I clung on to those memories. And I still do... The past was fun, and I don't want to let go - but at least it hurts less. I have my sad days now and then about it, but it's nothing heartbreaking anymore.

Ahh, that must not be fun Kenya. When I was younger I would always try to please everyone and be cautious of everyone's feelings. But, I couldn't keep it up for long, there was a time when I just asked myself "what was the whole point of it?" Why did I bother if I got nothing out of it and was not mandatory? It is also different with the internet. You suddenly become more confident and more willing to insult people then you would be in real life. My point is...why bother? Sure, you have internet friends but as like real life friends they...go away....I had a very inspirational and educated point...I forgot it...oh well.

What I think I am saying is...why bother? Just send everybody a message on how stressed you are. Shoot, if they don't respect that or understand...just leave. It may seen hard or unfair but do you want the pain to continue? Come on, its the internet. You can do ALMOST anything and run away giggling with no consequences.
