I'm a new player and I found myself constantly attacked by predators such as the one below. I avoided a wolf(ID:1936996) and continued to build my nest since I got the hang of it. Now I'm findng myself becoming the target for "grief" or hunting,

NPC's (Non player characters) have the negative ID's
Real players have Positive numbers for ID's
Also, when you examine any animal it says if they are a real person or NOT a real person as is shown here:
