ALL Male Real Player animals require a higher rank.

Did you start from an infant in an npc nest? Siblings can automatically challenge you no matter where you are.

The only other solution I got then that is that another male may have glitched and challenged you for the rank, even at a distance. They do that sometimes.

Other than those two, I got nothing.

It will happen if you don't go out into the world. You won't change, but everyone else will. Stay in a hole with rank 1, it will eventually go to the end.
