Mystfur waited for Icestar to finish speaking, and followed Icestar into her den, trying to seem in a brighter mood than she really was. Her fur was still fluffed a little from when Blackkit collapsed in front of her, as she couldn't get the image out of her mind. She shook her head, then entered Icestars den. She didn't say anything, but instead waited for Icestar to speak, because Mystfur simply wasn't sure what to say.

Icestar looked up at her deputy. "I can't do this anymore." she whispered. "You need to take over for me."

Mystfur looked at her leader with a obvious look of shock. "What? But.. You're our leader!" She exclaimed, trying to stay quiet enough so the cats outside couldn't hear. How am I suppose to just takeover, especially now? She asked herself as she continued to look at Icestar with disbelief in her eyes.

BluePelt nuzzled Dogtooth,thankful for havign her be her mentor.She walked out of the den,in search of IceStar.She found her in her den with Mystfur.She lowered her right ear,and what was left of her left,and got into a position of submissiveness."I wasn't attacked. I merely gave myself these marks out of shame, disappointment, and failure."She explained to them,shamefully.Her ear and her eye were hurting severely,and her eye was still bleeding from being scratched.

"I'm not ready to be leader. I haven't even had a mate, and kits! I'd love too! I just think you are more prepaired than I am. If I could do anything to give up leader, and give it all to you, I would."

(Don't mean to be a jerk or anything, but uh, I remember in one of the books a leader didn't gain his 9th life because the previous one ran away before his 9th life had even been used... so wouldn't this mean that the cat after one with all 9 lives wouldn't gain any lives at all? Not saying that it's definite or anything, but maybe someone should play as StarClan?)

Sunfire trotted back towards camp, the two mice hanging from his mouth by their tails.
It wasn't much, but from he had observed it was more than anyone else seemed to have caught today.
Lazy bums, he thought to himself, suffocating the words he wanted to utter to no one at all- he'd hate to drop the mice he had caught. What the heck have they been doing, fighting off badgers? Yellow-green eyes rolled at this thought, and he walked through the camp as if he had no care in the world- calm and with his familiar bored poker-face.
He smelled blood- kit-blood, to be precise.
He vaugely remembered the small kit he had seen racing back here, covered in blood.
It shouldn't have been out there in the first place, he thought to himself, walking with a steady purpose towards the nearly empty fresh-kill pile and dropped his two mice.
Sunfire finally took the time to look around, slight curiousness diluting the bored look. Everyone seemed to be in a frenzy, and he spotted Talonspark and others with expressions of frustration and worry etched on their faces.
The tom scrunched up his muzzle. Now what could have all those silly cats up in arms with worry and distress?

Mystfur continued to stare as Icestar. Does she really mean it? She asked herself over and over again, until she finally felt the courage to reply. "Are.. Are you sure?" She asked awkwardly, this was all so strange to her. She was just given the honor of being Deputy less than a moon ago, and now Icestars already telling her to be leader? Mystfur shook her head, and attempted to concentrate on Icestar.

WhisperDew trotted around the camp. The she-cat was thinking, and she couldn’t think without moving. Questions and answers were rushing through her mind, soon she couldn’t tell if the answers matched the questions... She sighed, it was an eventful day, Blackkit got injured and collapsed... Tons of drama went on. WhisperDew wasn’t fond of long hard days. They just downright annoyed her. She wanted to hunt all of a sudden, that would surely let her frustration out. She searched for even the simplest of prey, mice, rabbits. Anything.
She sighed, not smelling one bit of prey. She really wanted to lash out at something. But, failure was mocking her. So much frustration was flowing through her body she couldn’t remember anything that happened. Which made her feel slightly better. But the concern for Blackkit was breaking her heart in half.

Talonspark

Talonspark nodded, tail curling in pride at having been assigned to Bluepelt's search party. Then he turned to leave, but stopped, ears twitching. A twinge of guilt was felt but he pushed it away as he listened to the conversation. Neither she-cat seemed to be paying him any attention. Icestar's words made him bristle slightly and his amber eyes grew wide. She's resigning. His heart thumped in excitement for a moment, then he scowled. He wasn't able to be deputy, not without having mentored at least one apprentice. Talonspark growled softly, feelings Mystfur's hesitation and reluctance to take the role. I would leap at it!

Fallingface

The medicine cat sighed, looking down on the kit and examining his injuries. "You up? Tell me your pain. Where are they?" He asked awkwardly, carefully wrapping cobwebs around the most obvious ones already. What else.. horsetail. He quickly chewed on them, then applied them to the wounds. Hopefully this will help prevent infections, and it'll surely stop the bleeding. Poppy seeds! He carefully grabbed onto those with his mouth, lowering them next to the kit's. Two should be good enough for now. The kit should fall asleep and lose the shock his body is probably in, and finally reduce the pain. It shouldn't take too long anyway, with that small body of his.

"Yes, Mystfur. I am sure. I will just be a warrior, like the others. Choose your own deputy. You will travel to Moonstones tonight, with FallenFace, and I. Wait," she paused. "FallenFace has to keep an eye on Blackkit. Go announce what I've told you. You'll be a fine leader." she mewed, touching her nose to Mystfurs head. "Now, go on." Icestar padded out of the leaders den, and sat beside the rotten stump.

BlackKit sat up."My body is hurting all over.I walk with a limp,cuz my paw hurts.It feels almost like my front left leg is broken,but the paw does,too.

Mystfur watched as Icestar padded outside. Sure, Mystfur always wanted to be leader, but like this? She simply wasn't expecting it. She hesitated, wondering if she should even set paw outside the den. Icestar told me to do it... She argued with herself, and slowly padded out the den, shaken. She tried not to show it, but the way this all happened so fast bothered her. She looked up at the stump, and carefully climbed on top of it, gulping as she looked down at all the cats.
