Family- Father, who he was raised by rather than his mom. Separated.

Keem frowned, watching as the bird he was intent on catching flew out of his grasp. His stomach growled as he leapt from the branch he was perched on, wanting the warm taste of blood and meat. His eyes widened as he smelled... what, exactly? Ocelot... a croc? And a jaquar. He knew that last smell by heart. He growled softly to himself, following the scents.

Annoyed, Zahra turned around and started limping back towards where she last left the cub, then noticed her wound seemed to be healing. Feeling that got her hopes up, and she continued towards the cub.

As soon as he heard the soft foot-falls of an animal that seemed to be coming from somewhre to his left, he froze. His tail flicked nervously, smelling the air and noticing that the smell was coming from the same direction. Keem inched closer, low to the ground and leapt out from the folage he was standing in moments ago. He bounded into the path of the female, stopping about ten steps away from her. For all he knew, she could be agressive and violent, so he decided that staying away was the best choice at the moment.

La'keem's eyes drifted to her injuries and frowned. "Are you... are you okay?" The male asked in a gravely voice

Zahra was limping along when suddenly something jumped out from behind her. She turned around quickly, to see it was a male Jaguar. Knowing he is a threat to the cub, that isn't even hers, but she still cared about it. But, with her injuries it wouldn't be worth it to fight.. She caught herself not paying attention when she suddenly heard the male talk. Hoping he would go away, she simply answered "I'm fine." she answered in the most confident voice she could, even though she knew she might not be fine.

He noticed her hesitation and stepped back another step, lowering his head. "No harm meant, miss. You're hurt, is all... Are you sure you're OK?"

Zahra noticed him backup a little. Maybe he would leave after all, but then he asked if she was OK again. Wanting to just turn tail and run, she knew that wasn't the best option. So, she simply answered him again, taking a step foward. "I said I'm fine." She sounded more aggressive than she meant, and wasn't sure how his reaction would be. Nervous, she stood her ground.

Aggression. He knew she'd resort to that eventually. The male let out a long sigh, taking another step back.
C'mon... can't I want a dang conversation without someone trying to rip my throat out? Ok, well, not rip my troat out per-say, but she definetly doesn't like me. ALREADY. He thought with dismay, a sad frown crossing his features before he forced his face into neutrality. "Okay. Sorry." La'keen muttered softly.

She noticed that the male wasn't trying to hurt her, but she still felt that he has to leave because of the cub, though the cub isn't actually hers. Now not sure what to do, she simply looked at the male and decided to apologize. "Sorry," she said, not sure if she should continue to talk or attempt to chase him off, even though she already knew she would lose if he attacked her. The thought shook her, and she took a few steps back.

"…should I go?" The male asked with a raised eyebrow, tail twitching nervously. "I man, if you want-- I probably wouldn't want me here either, ah, yeah, and I suppose you might want your alone time--er... So maaaybbeee its best if I DO go... ah, dang, do you ever want to like, stop taking but you feel if you do I it'll be awkward or weird and I jus--..yeah. Shutting up." La'keem finished awkwardly. "I wish you could, like, re-do conversations, y'know?"

Zahra was somewhat surprised when the male asked if he should go, but before she could answer, he started saying more, so much she barely understood any of it until he stopped. Embarrassed just by hearing all of that, she answered with a smile "Yeah." She now knew this jaguar wasn't any harm, at least to her. She was then distracted by a few flies flying around her wound and ears. Annoyed, she flicked her tail.
