Cretaceous Mongolia Roleplay

[Alpha Ridley]

Alpha raised his head and sensed other Alioramus and Velociraptor. "Brother! Time for supper.". They both headed for the commotion, keeping downwind so they don't get smelled.

Rip was panicing, to say the least. She jumped down, onto the creatures head, and held on for dear life. Causiously, three more smaller ones appeared. The largest of the small ones snarled at Soro, while the other two went to help the largest one, their mother.

What the?! There was a raptor hanging onto her head. Its switch blade claw just barely missed her eye. Gore was going to take care of the other one. Oh, and here comes Tam and Kaw.

Soro sized up the young one, it was roughly bigger than him, but not a challenge. Soro screeched and ran around to the chick's back before leaping onto it's back, trying to get a hold with his claws and teeth.

Ther's herd retreated away from the lake as three tarbosaurs charged them. The large predators turned to some protceratops, but the large herbivores continued moving away from the lake...toward the fighting raptors and alioramus.

Rip was flung back into the tree. The aloramious was still distracted by her. "Run, children. I'll catch up!" she yelled to her chicks, before going back for more blood.

Grey threw off the raptor, who just jumped right back on. Gore was advancing on the other raptor, his mouth open wide. Tam was helping her, or trying to help, get this crazy raptor off her. Kaw was huddled to the ground and whimpering, she could smell theizosaurs and adult aloramious.

The therizinosaurs heard the racket and crested a hill. They soon found the alioramus from before and a pair of raptors defending their chicks. "Revenge!" Ther bellowed and the herd charged forth for the alioramus, the young raptors passing through their legs without harm.

Soro tried to hang onto Gore.

Gore twisted his head around to bite Soro. Tam stood a little ways away, snickering to himself when Gore got a particularly big scratch. Grey had finally shook off the crazy raptor and was thinking about getting her children away. Gore was already getting beat up by a creature half his size.

The therizinosaurs had reached the fight, and Ther aimed for Gore.

Soro leapt off as the herbivores arrived.

Grey had had enough. Gore was about to be trampled by theizosaurs, Tam was hopeless, and Kaw was a nervous wreck. She ran, calling to her children to follow.

As soon as it started, it was over it seemed. Rip looked around for the chicks, hoping they were ok. One of them, a male, was trampled by the herd. The others were shaken, but unharmed.

Soro screeched angrily at the therizinosaurus herd for killing one of his chicks.

Ther snorted at the raptor and knocked him off his feet with a claw before turning and leading the herd off.

Rip ran over to Soro. "Are you ok? What happened back there?" she talked very quickly, almost un-understandable.

[dinoman]

Soro stood and shook himself. "Yeah, I'm fine. Get the chicks out of here. I'll be along shortly." He said. "And YOU, LIZARD FACE!!!!! YOU MIGHT AS WELL KILL YOUR CHICKS NOW!!!!" He called to Grey before quickly grabbing the dead chick and hurrying off to bury it.

Rip looked sadly at it before herding the chicks away. She needed a really secure place for them to hide, aha! There were some large rocks forming a tiny cave. She went in cautiously, and smelt the strong scent of raptor, of Snap. But the scent was far from fresh so quickly she got the chicks inside.

Soro dug a hole ontop of a sand dune and placed it inside. He stared at it for a second before burying it and following the scent of Rip and his chicks. He found them in a cave with the rival's scent all over it. "I hope their chicks are here, revenge would be sweet." He said.

[Grep42]

"Nope, just some bones, old nesting stuff. Oh, I feel like a terrible mother. My first clutch was stomped to death, my second has a deformed chick and one is already dead," she cried. The chicks were asleep, they didn't hear anything, even if they did they wouldn't understand.

[dinoman]

Soro nuzzled her. "Hey, come on now, it happens. I'm just as sad as you, but not everything survives. The deformed one is still strong, but we just can't live in trees unless you expect me to take care of him completly. Plus, last time checked, when you were in the tree it was being knocked over by an alioramus." He said, pointing out the danger in something not meant for raptors, as far as he knew.
