Some people like different things :3

and who knows, don't judge a book by it's cover, maybe if you watched it you'd really like it. .3.

Well, why not? I never really saw movies most people saw when they were kids. So, I guess I'm doing it now. I still watch/read things that are probably adult-rated, but MLP on a random day is perfectly normal to me.

Hey, anyone remember watching "Ren & Stimpy" as a kid? I do and I'm surprised I didn't turn out too corrupted.

And the classic Disney movies. I didn't realize how dark some parts of "101 Dalmatians" and "Oliver & Company" really were until I rewatch them now. Bambi will always be my favorite movie though.

I dunno if I've seen Oliver and Company. I might have, just don't remember anything about, since all I remember is a cat named Oliver... .-. I should rewatch that.
It's strange. As little kids, we pretty much love any 'Kid' movie. Then as preteens, we act cool and look down on those movies. Then as teenagers, we love them again...
Maybe it's because we cherish old memories?

I watched Lion King almost 10 times over the summer. In french class this year, our class watched it again- no sub titles either. My friends found it odd that even though didn't know what was being said, I could translate it almost word for word.

I bet I could too! The Lion king is tied with Bambi right now. The Disney movies are getting less and less classic like. Kind of like Bambi compared to Tangled. HUGE difference! Bambi is paper-ish. Tangled is computer graphics. Bambi has made me cry. Tangled made me exited. Bambi lost something important to him forever, and never got revenge on the hunter. Repunzel lost something important and got it back, and got revenge on the bad woman. Again HUGE difference.

Classics seem to always be better. But, I found a while ago that most disney movies are based off stories with much darker origins.
Like in Cinderella, in the original story the stepsisters cut off their feet to fit in the slippers.
In the little Mermaid, the main character doesn't fall in love with the prince- instead she turns into sea foam for a certain amount of years, with another thousand years added on each time a child cried.
Much different from the happy-go-lucky story lines..
Personally I like stories that have sad/bittersweet outcomes. They tend to bring out more emotion in me.

I've found that the old 2D movies Disney used to make were better because they focused less on graphics and more on telling a good story. My favorites are Bambi (coughAlexhasntseenBambicough x3), TLK, Fox And The Hound and All Dogs Go To Heaven. All wonderful stories and every single scene was an inspiration that led me to begin drawing. Without Disney, I wouldn't be me, really. But now I can't find the same magic in their films that used to be there. :c

Anyone ever watched Plague Dogs? I wanted to kill anyone who dared harm an animal. It made me cry, it's such a sad show..

Also, anyone watched Felidae? Creepy flippin' movie. I recommend if your squeamish or easily disturbed, don't watch it xD
