I'm playing as a female fox and it's winter, but the egg icon isn't showing up? Do I have to wait until mid-winter or the end of winter? I haven't played in a long time.

You have to wait till the near end of the season no matter what season it is.

So, if you play as a condor, you gotta wait til late winter to mate, then if you play as a elk you gotta wait till late fall to mate.

Does that make any sense?

Oh ok. I assumed it was the start of winter.

Yep, egg icon normally pops up later in the season. ^^
