Desert Survival. (Forest Survival sequel.)

Well, since Forest Survival was succeful, and it's popular, I thought: "Why not make a sequel where I can be my favourite animal?" So I did. And here you are, reading it.
Plot
Pretty simple. You are any animal what-so-ever that lives in the desert, and you must survive. That's all there is to it. Meet new friends, fight great enemies-Survive the scorching heat, survive...
In this surviving
MUST be harder than in Forest Survival, since deserts are more harsh than forests, even when the animals have adapted to live in their chosen habitat.
Rules.
1. Like I said, survival must be harder than Forest Survival.
2. Only be animals that live in the desert. No barn owls, or whatever.
3. No Bob modding.
4. I control the weather. If it's not bad, I do it in
italics, if it's kind of bad,
Pinky purple, if it's bad,
in red.
5. Give other users a chance to respond. For example:
This is not allowed:
Sandy growled and stole Sapphire's food. He ran out of the hole and went back to his den, covering the entrance up with sand.
This is allowed:
Sandy growled and tried to steal Sapphire's food.
Sapphire growled as Sandy stole her food.
Sandy ran out of the hole, hoping Sapphire wouln't catch up.
Sapphire chased after Sandy.
Simple.

Just a random desert. XD. Like Forest Survival is just a random forest.
And I don't know why I make so many awesome RPs. It's just sometimes I feel like writing and chatting-Or, roleplaying.
And both accepted! Feel free to start roleplaying.

TinyNight walked across the desert sand.He saw a gecko, and leapt at it,wondering if it tasted good.He sliced it in half, and ate half.He liked it,and ate the other half.He dug himself a den,and took a nap.

Soro crawled along the sand, tounge flickering, out, and in, tasting the heat in the air, no heat was the same, even if this desert was full of nothing but heat. He smelled blood on the wind and managed to lift himself up off of the ground just a little, so he could move quicker. He came to where something small had been killed, but he was a monitor lizard and the only other type of animal in the desert that could threaten him was another Monitor, maybe scorpions but he wasn't sure. He flickered his tounge again and sniffed the air, a fox was nearby, and in a den. It wasn't too long of a search before the monitor found the entrance to the Fennec Fox's den and crawled in, the thought of a meal running through his mind.

Fable stared quietly in the dreary morning. She was keeping her vigil, watching her brood of about twenty. Armed with fangs, and deadly spit, it was her job to ensure their survival. So she watched, curled around the clutch.

(you do know that Monitor lizards tend to get like 3-5 feet long and are pretty good at killing stuff, right? I googled it, and also: What do monitor lizards eat?
"They feed on various kinds of animal matter, including eggs, rats, frogs, and decaying meat. The larger species will attack small deer and pigs. They often tear the prey with claws and teeth, but generally swallow it whole or in large chunks." o uo)
The female lazily laid on the flat boulder, soaking in the heat of the suns with relish. Lifting her head at the smell of blood, and oddly enough the blood from the meat was only a few feet away. Standing up higher, she tilted her head, slinking down the rock and landing with a plop.

Harena padded to the top of her burrow, and then squinted at the harsh mid-day sun. It was boiling, even close to the entrance, and she had nearly looked directly at the sun. Shaking her head, Harena Vulpes climbed back down to the deepest, coldest (And coldest was good.) part of her den. She would have to look for food later, in the evening.
The scorching mid-day sun is blazing hotter than ever now, since it's in the middle of summer.
