A large, dark swan glided over the trees, large black wings stretched. He shifted the position of his feathers as he smoothly landed on a large lake. He then stretched his neck into the murky depths of the lake and began to eat the critters that thrived under the water's surface. (Are we already partners? And the lake's not frozen yet, but will be the next day)

( If you want. I mean, Jay could be sleeping? o3o Or they could meet? You pick D= )

Lord finished having his snack and raised his head out of the chilled water. He felt cold all over, he knew it would of been wise to migrate, but he had refused. He obviously regretted his action, but knew it was too late. He glided through the water gracefully until he reached the nest which he had built on an island, which had been sitting in the deepest end of the lake. He sighed as he walked onto the island and went through the reeds which were hiding the nest. (Maybe she could be sleeping on the nest? Just a suggestion^^)

Jay opened an eye, peeking at her surroundings. She yawned, getting up to stretch her wings. A slight white blue flew past her, landing by the nest. "Good morning."

The black swan greeted her gratefully "Good morning to you too, did you have a good night?" He asked, smiling warmly.

Jay knodded, "Yep. When did you wake up?" she said cleaning her white feathers.

"Woke up just before sunrise, I didn't have much of a good sleep." He then stared at the nest, which was quite empty, only having sticks in it. "We should collect some moss, we need to keep the nest warm at night." He smiled again, then spread his wings, ready to fly off to get some moss for the nest.

"I'll come," she said spreading her wings. "Where to collect moss? I should just follow.."

"By the waterfall, I saw lots there last night." He smiled, before flapping his mighty dark wings. He flew over the lake, expecting Jay to follow. Lord landed back onto the water's surface, except close to a small waterfall. He was relieved to see the moss still there, as he was worried it would of been eaten while he wasn't looking. He picked a mouthful of moss in his beak, then waited for Jay to take some Moss.
