The Obsidian Race

Charcoal smoke billowed from crimson tongues of flame as they licked the
sky. A single shadow danced on the stone peak, where a ring of smoke
puffed into the night air, entangling itself around a bright, grinning male with
ivory fangs. "Welcome. We are the Obsidian Race." A gem that hung
around the male's neck shone bright topaz as the smoke engulfed the male.
We are the Obsidian Race, standing tall and proud in the ashes of civilization,
wearing our birth stone proudly around our necks. Our hearts cannot be
reached without another Obsidian's power, and we welcome you into our
lives. We are sinister, cunning canines who refuse to be foiled, a gentle touch
and you are charmed.
Our Ranks.
Harbringer -- Our race bows to him. He is the ruler, alpha.
Mistress -- She has no duties, nor much power, though she is respected.
She stands like the Queen, only being granted power in times of great
need.
Lieutenant -- The right hand, second in command.
Combatants -- Our warriors. They protect us under the authority of
the Harbringer.
Falconeer -- Singular form ; Falconer -- The Falconeer are the hunters
of our race.
Spooks -- Assasins of our race. Journey into enemy territory to carry out
our 'dirty work.'
Governess -- Watches future generations of Obsidians. 'Cub Sitter'
Adolescants -- Young, Future generations of our race.
Fosters -- Caretaker, nurses, medics.
Fossils -- The old, no longer able to fight or care for others.
Relics -- The deceased, gone, dead.
We are who we are.
Obsidians are nor a pack, nor alone. We unite as a clan, but are a race of
sacred canines that live in the mountains. We wear gemstones around our
neck that are obtained when you reach adulthood. Your gem will determine
your position in the clan.
Zircon - Future Harbringer
Diamond - Future Mistress
Fluorite - Future Lieutenant
If any other gemstone is found, the Harbringer will appoint you your status
in the clan.
We live in the mountain regions of world two. In the game, there is no
gemstones, so the Harbringer will place various objects in the mountains,
and they will stand for gems. Here is a list of some of the possibilities.
Flowers - Diamond
Pinecone - Boulder Opal
Mineral - Fluorite
Gravel - Iolite

The Obsidian Hunt
Once an adolescant reaches a certain age, they are ready to find
their gemstone and assume a position among our ranks. He will
journey into the mountains and search for his gemstone to
obtain a rank. He may not leave the mountains before finding his
gemstone, or will risk being outcasted.
It is not easy to obtain a rank though, for after you find your
gem, you must sit vigil for two hours(Two minutes gametime)
without moving. Then you are ready to confront the Harbringer,
and obtain your spot in our ranks.
Your chain
As an adolescant, you will make your chain. Your chain will contain
hair from your first kill -- Or a feather -- 5 pawfuls of straw, dirt from
your first den, and meat from your first meal.
Once you have obtained all of these items, show the Harbringer in
game, or post that you have found them.
