Soro caught on quickly and flanked the other side of the herd, there was an injured one, on three legs instead of four. Now the only problem was how fast would the protoceratops form up?

Rips eyes darted from an injured protoceratops and to her mate. She waited for him to nod, a universal yes signal.

Soro nodded before leaping out of the bushes and screeching, and, in a stroke of luck, landed on the injured protoceratops. The herd scattered in the sneak attack, and left the injured one wide open while it ran/limped with Soro clinging on and slicing into it.

Rip also charged, coming up to the flank of the protoceratops. She tried to position it to where she could strike it's throat.

The protoceratops bellowed and began to try and grab some part of Soro in it's bone crushing beak. But Soro was too far back, and it left the neck exposed.

Rip struck instantly, her switch-blade claw going deep into it's neck. Jugular vein severed, the protoceratops took only a couple seconds to bleed to death.

The protoceratops fell to its side and Soro was quick to jump off. "Dinner is served." He said before digging into the carcass.

Rip smiled and began feasting on the carcass.

Soro soon ate his fill and began to preen, licking his lips first before cleaning his feathers.

Rip finished also. She went over to the shade of a nearby bush and sat there, watching the landscape.

Soro finished preening and began heading to the center. "It's getting late, and I don't want to see what come out at night." He said, looking around as the sun began to dissapear behind the horizon.

"Ok, I found a great den. Folllow me," she led him to the den she found earlier. "Here it is."

Soro nodded. "Not bad, but what if something owns it?" He asked, poking his head in.

"I already explored it, just a couple of those odd furry things," she replied, climbing in.

Those odd fury things turned out to be territorial, whatever they were. One bit onto his nose and Soro quickly pulled his head out of the den and sliced the creature with his hand claw, causing it to fall dead.
