Soro had long since fed on the homalochephalae and sat the the den entrance, and thought. Fang came and sat next to him.

Amber returned, but wandered to her tree, and took a nap there.

The pack had adjusted to Amber's territory well. "You can go eat now, Shale," she said. It was safe here, here had plenty of food. Rip sat beside the tumbling chicks and thought back to her beginnings. In the beginning, all she had was an insane mate. Now she had a normal mate, five chicks, and two new members. And she was the boss of it all, Rip felt lucky. Amber might be a problem, but for now she was courteous and stayed out of Rip's way.

Shale nodded rapidly and sprung to his feet before skittering out of the den and off to find the carcass.

Amber noticed the sun setting. She ran up to her watch rock, which was on top of the den. She scanned the area with her sharp eyes.

Rip stood in the entrance of the den, peering out quietly. A rare event was happening, the clouds were moving together. This could either be good news, or really really bad news.

Shale limped over to the entrance and saw Rip gazing intently at the clouds. "You okay?" He ased timidly, shifting his weight to his other leg. Absently, he noticed he was feeling better. He wasn't healed fully, obviously, but he did notice it didn't hurt as much to walk, already.

Amber noticed this, and smiled. "There hasn't been a rain storm for 5 months now." she said to herself. This meant new dinosaurs were coming. Last year Alectrosaurus and Gigantoraptor arrived. What newbies would arrive this year?

(Keep in mind that random dinos from other continents and times will arrive, don't ask why, ok?)

"I'm fine, but I'm not sure it'll be an easy night. Looks like either a thunder-storm or a dust storm. We'd better get ready for sand," she replied. Rip brought everyone outside, "If the den is buried, none of my pack are going to be,"

"It's alright. Just rain clouds. No signs of thunder or sand. When the storm ends, new prey and predator will come. Remember last year?" Amber called from the rock.

(It's raining outside my house right now.)

"Yes, I remember. But dust storms happen more often than rain storms. I won't trust this until water is falling form the skys," she said. As if to prove her wrong, it started drizzling, "I stand corrected,"

"It won't rain very much. Not enough to start a flood. It might expand the watering hole though." Amber said.

Rip nodded, finally accepting Amber's ideas. This was her territory, after all, she should know what goes in it.
