I did a little doodle today, at first it looked good, but then a few glances later it started to look rubbish -_- Sorry it's in a funny angle, my dad seems to have scanned it the wrong way.

Thank you x] I learned the anatomy pretty well, now I'm starting to learn about shading and making my animals look realistic. Oh, and here's a link for anyone who needs help on drawing cats, it's really helpful ;]

The face looks a little flat, but I very much like it - in part, because of that. :P

I admit, the right eye looks a bit wonky too. I'll see if I can post my newest artwork on here too, it's a fennec fox x]

EDIT: Yes, I know the nose is a bit wonky, it's inevitable x[ Also, if you can see the faint outline of a cat in the background, that's because I've done it on the other side on the cat picture (scroll up)

Beautiful job on the shading. It's fantastic. :D Fennecs are absolutely adorable. ^^

Here's a couple of images I did over the past few days:

They're kinda big for the topic so I didn't post the images themselves.

EDIT: Oh, thank you for the link to that tut. It's very helpful indeed. ^^

Aha, here's my serval x] The shading isn't as clear on this one, the scanner seems to make my drawings lighter.

*Tackles Lys and Silent and Dark* Thank you! c:

@animalguy: GIMP is free and it's pretty good. ^^ Almost as good as Photoshop. It takes a bit of time to get used to it, but it can be a lot more helpful than Paint.
