Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
Mink paused before nodding his head respectfully at Betel's words, trying not to let the twinge of smugness he felt show on his face as he glanced briefly at the other two cats. Slowly, he laid down on his stomach to laze around as he waited. It had certainly been an interesting stay here, to say the least, but he was rather eager to get a move on. Idly his eyes scanned and assessed the scene in front of him. Certainly everyone seemed shaken up by the event, but it looked like things were settling down quickly. It probably wouldn't be long until things returned to normal, he guessed. That was, unless the other clans decided to strike again; the other cats were obviously determined, and it would come as a surprise to him if they simply accepted defeat and moved on. He twitched his tail slowly, considering all possible outcomes to such a situation.
He paused his thoughts and glanced in the direction of a kit frolicking at the edge of the camp. 'Shouldn't somebody be watching her? Deadly berries don't make good playthings...' He mused to himself in his mind.

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
Ravenfeather sat up now, testing his legs. They seemed steady enough, but he felt tired all over. Despite this, sleep did not sound nice at all. He glanced around, unsure of what to do with himself now, neck all bandaged up in a neat dressing of cobwebs. His amber eyes glanced at the sky, which was begin to lighten with the coming day. He frowned at the possibility of sleeping the day away, but the black tom doubted he'd last until night.
Ravenfeather feels something like worry in his stomach. He couldn't remember seeing Cedarleaf or his sister since the RiverClan retreat. After that, all that remained of his memories was a haze of scents and sounds he couldn't name. The tabby beside him looks up with large green eyes and a frown. "You should rest."
"I'm fine, Dawnpaw. Besides, I couldn't sleep right now if my life depended on it." With that, he pushes himself up and stands, unsteadily for a moment, then pads away. His amber eyes seek out other cats, looking for two in particular...
There!
He quickens his pace to a fast limp. The black and white tom swallows when he sees Springsand and Leafpool standing beside an unconcious or sleeping Cedarleaf.
Ravenfeather does not even consider dead.
"Is he okay?" he asks when he's by Springsand's side.
Leafpool nods to the pale she-cat, and begins cleaning wounds, starting with the one on Cedarleaf's shoulder. She remembers seeing him tear Leopardstar off of Ravenfeather, who approaches them just then. She ignores him, trusting Springsand to talk to him as she works. Leafpool uses the same method she used with Betel now, mixing the poultices on the cobwebs and tightly bandaging injuries. Once done, she steps back and nods to Springsand. "When he wakes, remind him I'll be checking up on him later. I don't want to see him up and running around for a while. You either." She sends a sharp look Ravenfeather's way.

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
Springsand nodded a greeting at the black tom, twitching her ear at his question.
"Normally I would probably be more concerned with why you are worried about him, but seeing as he dragged you off into a bunch of bushes I'm not going to ask. Frankly, he's been confusing me too much." She snorted and dabbed her sleeping brother's nose with a paw, amused when he twitched said nose. "First he was mumbling a bit about Yin, then he started saying something about hedgehogs and Snake, then he started talking to himself about power and deals. He's quite confusing when he's asleep."
As if to prove her words, the dark brown tom shifted closer to her, entangling his paws with her own. The pale she-cat had momentarily forgotten that her teacher had no clue what their past was, which also included their family- Yin and Snake. She nodded in agreement to the medic's words, snorting softly as her brother started purring in his sleep. Why can't he be this cuddly and cute when he's awake?

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
Ravenfeather stared at her blankly, not quite catching the meaning behind her words, then he gasped. "What are you...why..no!" he sputtered, glaring at her. In truth, he was only extremely embarrassed and now he wondered what Cedarleaf had been doing, pulling him out of sight into some bushes. He looks down at the brown tom, his face much softer without a frown and sharp yellow eyes. Ravenfeather felt his tail twitch as he saw just how...cute Cedarleaf was. Then he swallowed, looking up at Springsand again. Trying to change the subject, he addressed something that had confused him. "You said he was talking about...Yin and Snake? Who are they?"

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
Springsand froze in her thoughts of a cute and cuddly brother (which ended with her deciding that it would mean the end of the world was nearing) when she heard the other's question, and her eyes grew sad. "Yin and Snake... were close to us. Yin and Nik were very, very close. He didn't really like Snake all that much... he never trusted him." She paused slightly, gazing down at her brother who was twitching more and not purring as much. He must be waking up... "Anything more than that would be outside of what I should tell you, except that my brother truly wished that Yin could have stayed with us, even if it meant I wasn't with him."
Her eyes brightened a bit as if nothing happened as she watched her brother's eyes begin to flutter. Guess I don't have to tell Teacher anything, since Nik is almost awake.
Cedarleaf murmured ineligible words as he slowly woke up, feeling the strange tightness around one of his legs. He lazily opened an eye, before shutting it again just as quickly when he saw light and two figures standing directly above him. His dream's setting had been much different- a misty and dark forest without light. He suddenly realized that he was all but wrapped around a furry leg, and hurriedly sat up- only to then push himself directly under the second figure's chin. His confused blink brought on a purr from the first, and he noticed that the cat he had been cuddled against was his sister. Then who... Cedarleaf's eyes widened considerably when a very familiar scent drifted into his nose, and realized that he was now firmly pressed against his Teacher.
As soon as he realized this, his fur grew much hotter and he hastily backed away from the darker cat, averting his eyes and muttering apologies. How much more embarrassing can waking up be? … Guess I should be thankful that I didn’t say something stupid like Kin always does…

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
Ravenfeather frown at the explanation. It left him with more questions than he'd started with, but he didn't press her. She seemed slightly reluctant to say anything about the two cats, and Cedarleaf also seemed to be stirring. Ravenfeather didn't have time to look down before Cedarleaf was...what was he doing? Surely waking up hadn't put him in such a good mood that he'd start nuzzling his 'mentor' out of the blue? Ravenfeather opened his mouth to say something, but he couldn't think of a single thing. Then Cedarleaf backed off quickly, apologizing excessively. Ravenfeather gives an awkward laugh and shakes his head, "It's fine, Nik." He doesn't even think to correct himself at the use of Cedarleaf's former name. The black and white cat can only think about how nice-
"There you are!" Someone's high pitched mew cuts into his thoughts, and he sees Dawnpaw scampering towards the group. She has a look of alarm on her face, and he wonders what has startled her. He doesn't have any time to ask before she darts past him, Springsand and Cedarleaf, not even glancing at the three. The tabby skids to a halt in front of a bush and that's when Ravenfeather sees the little orange-and-white ball of fluff.
"Littlekit! Don't touch those, they'll hurt you!" Dawnpaw mews urgently to the kitten.

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
"Very charming, Yin. With those oh-so smooth courting skills I am totally positive that the she-cats will be throwing themselves at your feet." Springsand remarked, snickering at her own blatant sarcasm. Her brother glared at her in return, still embarrassed.
"Well, if you find my skills so charming, maybe I should teach you a few so that you can court something other than a hollow tree." He sneered at her, ears flat. Springsand's eyes sparkled.
"Now now, brother- no need to get so defensive. It's not my fault that Teacher remains unresponsive to your obvious flirt-" Her reply was cut short when her brother snarled and leapt at her, the two rolling over a few times before the she-cat had her brother pinned. "Remember what the medic said, lover-dude. No rough housing." This earned her a louder snarl and the tom managed to wriggle free of her light grip.
"If you don't stop annoying me, I might not let you on a little secret of mine." He blurted out without thinking. After all, this was his sister- his overly nosy and annoying sister. If he didn't tell her, she would simply annoy it out of him.
The reaction was immediate. His sister was suddenly right in his face, eyes sparkling with wonder and ears pricked with plain curiosity. "Secret? This wouldn't have anything to do with you dragging our mentor off in the middle of a battle, would it?" Her brother's frown and confused look caused her to take that as a 'no'. "Never mind that. What's this secret of yours?"
"It's... well, it's a secret." He muttered lowly, casting a nervous glance around him. He figured that the amber-eyed cat wouldn't like his sharing of their talk, but he couldn't keep such info from someone as close as his sister.
"Then let's talk about it in a quieter place." Springsand purred, eyeing the surrounded bramble walls of the camp. She hurriedly trotted towards it, her brother limping slightly a few steps behind her. When they were far enough away from prying ears, she looked at him expectantly.
"I... well, I had a dream- about a cat. I think he can help us figure out why Snake did what he did... and maybe, make him pay for it." Cedarleaf spoke quietly, and grew a bit defensive at his sister's disapproving gaze.
"Nik, look- I know that Yin was close to you... I understand because I was close to Snake as well. But you have to forget about it brother- he might be your enemy, but we won't ever see him again."
"I don't care if we never see that mouse-hearted fool again! The point is, this cat promised to give me power... enough power so I won't ever lose someone close to me ever again!" Cedarleaf's voice grew louder, causing his sister to bat his muzzle lightly to make him quiet down.
"I won't try to stop you, Nik... you would go ahead with your plans even if I didn't. Just promise me that you'll be careful, 'kay?" She touched his ear with her nose lightly, and over his shoulder noticed the light grey pelt of Dawnpaw and a smaller orange blob. She barely registered her brother's hesitant agreement, and instead looped her tail over his shoulders to lead him back to the warrior's den for some well-earned rest. Her voice was more somber and much quieter when she spoke again. "Also, I told Raven a bit about our past... that Snake and Yin were close to us. If he asks, tell him the full story." The she-cat could feel her brother's shoulders tense up slightly at this information, and the fur along his back raise slightly- but she ignored it, intent on getting her brother to the warrior's den for rest that the medic had instructed.

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
The tiny kitten froze at Dawnpaw's words. She squeaked, scrambling onto her paws and scattering towards the back leg of the apprentice, shyly hiding away from the now monstrous berry. Littlekit mewled, taking her time to paw at Dawnpaw's tail.
Betel sat there in complete boredom, wondering if there was any way he could steal or take some things without being noticed right before they left. Rogues are rogues, and he was surely one of them. He kept focused eyes on everything he could catch sight on. Pile for fresh kill, medicine den over there where the medicine cat walked out of, let alone that elder and the tinniest kit he's ever seen in his life. He wondered if he could sneak in there long enough to grab a hold of some medicine and dash away to his camp. He knew he'd get a few examples from them anyway, but anything more to benefit Vile. The larger cat shrugged, his head now feeling lighter than usual. He squinted his eyes, it was hard to focus, however he absolutely refused to fall asleep or black out. Whenever he turned his head it was slow, or gradual.
(When can I sort of bring Snake in? Like calling his name or something.)

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
Ravenfeather couldn't suppress a grin at Springsand's taunting, but he was also thanking StarClan she hadn't yet begun really picking on him. He glanced at Dawnpaw and Littlekit and focused his attention on them, so he didn't notice Cedarleaf and Springsand leave until they were already padding back towards him. Standing up with a tired yawn, Ravenfeather blinked at the two, trying to decipher the emotions on their faces. He gave a slight frown, not being able to keep from wondering what they had talked about. He wouldn't allow it to get to him.
A light purr that seemed to only be brought on by his two newest friends started up and he finally felt content since the battle. Maybe tomorrow they'd have some energy to learn some things.
Dawnpaw gave a relieved sigh and turned her head to look back at the she-kit, a soft smile playing across her muzzle. "Your fine now," she meows to reassure the kit, "They won't come leaping off the bush to attack you or anything." She makes a mental note to have the bush torn down and discarded far away from camp.

Re: WarriorCats (Forest Home)
The small kit giggled, glad to hear the monster of a berry wouldn't harm her. The kit turned, only to notice a much larger cat than she, that of which looked kind of dark and almost scary. She mewled, hiding between, the apprentice's legs, hoping the apprentice would magically save her from this imaginary evil cat. The kit bravely attempted to reach her paw at the bad kitty cat, then retreated back underneath Dawnpaw for safety.
One of the members just entered the camp area, padding straight to Betelgeuse. The nervous attitude coming from the cat made him speak louder than he should. "Betel, I think we should check to see if Snake is okay soon." The leader snapped at him. "He'd rip your ears off for calling him by that name!" The darker tom hissed. "F..forgive me. He only changed it recently, I must have foolishly forgotten." The cat apologized, horribly embarrassed. "Run along now, I want you to find the others. I fear some may have gotten hurt." He leader ordered, leaving the nervous and now embarrassed cat to run his tail back into the woods to find his friends. Betel mumbled under his breath, sighing afterwords.

I think you should add more information. Back in the old forum, I tried to make a warrior cats rp and spent hours adding information but it got locked because evidentily I was "copying" Dakota. You could use her or my topic as a reference if you wanted to.

Will do, thanks for the tip.Scarikas wrote:I think you should add more information. Back in the old forum, I tried to make a warrior cats rp and spent hours adding information but it got locked because evidentily I was "copying" Dakota. You could use her or my topic as a reference if you wanted to.
Edit: I actually just remembered I can't go back and look at the old forum since we moved. Maybe you could point out a few things that I should put on here? I'd thought of the map, clan terms, etc.
Also, accepted, Des. I'll add your cat in a moment.

Dawnpaw gave a soft laugh as she spotted the kit's startled expression when Ravenfeather was noticed. The tabby apprentice crouched low to the ground, so her head what level to Littlekit's. "That's my big brother. He's not so scary, really. You just have to wait until he's distracted, and then...." She wiggled her haunches, as if to pounce, and fixed her eyes on the black cat's white tail-tip, flicking back and forth as he faces Cedarleaf and Springsand. "Grab his tail. He'll be helpless," she urges with a playfully mischievous grin.

Excited by the invitation, the smaller kit crawled close to Ravenfeather's tail, awaiting the moment of distraction where she could go in for the kill.

((OOC: Last post for the night. Good night, you two!))
Ravenfeather had no idea the kit was targeting him, or to be specific, his precious tail. It was a prime target, and he was too focused on his friends to wonder what his little sister might put Littlekit up to. Dawnpaw waited for her brother to turn around, but he never did. She nudged the kit closer. "Go on, just launch yourself at it. He'll be startled out of his fur," she whispers, glancing at the black and white tom, oblivious to their plan.
