I never knew it was independence day, or yesterday, whatever.
Just proves how much the English don't celebrate Independence day. I mean, I didn't even see the tiniest of fireworks, or anything.

NatureHeart wrote:Yeah, I got to see a few, but they were only sparklers and fountains. Not the big ones.

Someone actually started a fire in a fiend right next to the house and there was a firetruck and police! We were at a friends house cause it's illegal in our city...

It’s illegal?
Also a huge firework, pretty much broke my eardrum. I covered my ears from then on...
I like the fireworks that whistle... Or something.
EDIT: It didn’t alert me that Foxesrule posted before me?

;-; Fireworks I went to see yesterday, there was 30,000 people there. Really, said so on a website.

Though it was one of the few shows that even went off in my state. The fire danger is extremely high this year.
Fireworks are illegal in my entire state too except for the actual shows... But, people didn't listen and did them anyway. Heard quite a few firetrucks last night Dx

Sorry to those that couldn’t see fireworks.
Same to you. On the third my family wnet to a fireworks display and saw the tail end of a horse race when we got there. Appeantly 10% of the crowd had a little to much happyness in a bottle. Then last night we lit up our own fireworks. Also our neigborhood has a good view of fireworks. Firworks at the lake behind us,fireworks and a more distant lake to the left of us,and fireworks somewere else to the right of us. Also some stupid people behind us. They really are stupid. They shoot off bottle rockets and M80's Illegaly. They have cought things on fire, had the cops called on them, last year one of there illegal bottle rockets come down from the sky and burnt a hole in our trampoline while my sister and brother were still jumping on it. Stupid people almost burnt my siblings. Yet they do this every year! When will those cheesebrains learn?

I mean, I'm surprised English people (Like me.) don't even have the tiniest of celebrations, while over in America (?), there's LOADS.

I can't believe I'm talking about independence day stuff, when the English don't even mention it. ;_;
And those people..Are...Well, I agree with Natureheart.

You mean in England? Oh, well, isn't Independence Day celebrated because America won the revolutionary war? Sorry, my history is horrible, yet one of my favorite subjects.. O_O

Yes, I know...
But I think in England we should still celebrate it. It's not as if it's against the law.

They wouldn't want to celebrate! They lost! They actually helped America win! I wouldn't want to celebrate it if I lost...

Wait, it was England VS America?
Whut?
Now you're saying they were helping?
UGH!
So complicated.

Yes, England vs. America. They helped by the Yankee Doodle song! They made it to make fun of America in the song, but it was a great marching beat and helped America win!

For me, that's confusing.
I remember hearing my brother saying somethin' about America being in the Allies, with England and other countries, in the two world wars, yes?
Is this something to do with slavery?

Yes, they were allies in the world wars both 1 and 2. World wars have nothing to do with slavery, but Germany wanted to gain more space for the country. But not all Germany was in this, just Nazis. Germans hate when we say Germany and not Nazis.
