The kit woke up. She was flattered by the water and jumped right in. But she could not swim.

Xena fished the kit out of the water. "Looks like River Swell. They can be dangerous, let's got to high ground," Xena replied.

Tii grimaced and picked the small kit up by the scruff. "Stop squirming" he grumbled between the fur and skin he was latched onto.

He rolled his eyes and gave the kit a warning growl and a quick, jerky shake of the scruff. "You'll die. And rot. And fish will eat your eyes out. Now stop squirming and shush."
(he would only be about 16-19 if he was a human I think o3o)

He eyed the elder female warily, "you sure?" he asked, looking down at her broken paw. "No, I've got her. Just get up to higher ground, I'm right behind you."
