It's about a guy, Joseph Kony, in Africa. He's the #1 war criminal on the wanted list. Apparently he's been leading the LRA for 26 years. What he does is takes kids to be his soldiers. Boys receive guns and girls.. well, it can't be said here. He makes the kids murder people basically, and all that ridiculous nonsense.

Invisible Children aims to make him famous so that everyone knows about him and wants to stop him. That's just the basics about it.
I've also heard that in some cases Invisible Children can be unreliable? Though I don't know if the person was very paranoid or what about the whole thing, sounded completely one-sided.

Well, when there are arguments over things that are frowned upon, they tend to be one-sided stories that diss the other completely with fancy words that sound bad.
I used Invisible Children info on a project last semester. It was about the child soliders. In one video I included in the presentation, it had an actual ex victim of the war. When she came back to the family, they treated her like dirt and degraded her. Her chosen husband also insulted and beat her a lot. When she tried to kill herself, he stopped her and said that if she was going to kill herself, then she could go do it at her mother's house...
I tend to trust the words from somone who actually expierenced it rather than the reporters who twist it around to make it more dramatic.

The 30 minute video of Kony 2012 was incredibly dramatized, a 100% tear jerker.

Lol how do you find all this cool stuff, Animal?

Oh, random discovery.
AYA-
- Japanese name meaning 1) "colorful" or 2) "design"
- Variant spelling of Hebrew unisex Ayah, meaning "falcon"

I already knew that Ayashe meant 'little one', though. I think it fits my fursona since she is supposed to be smaller than an average akita or border collie.

Heh, I always assumed you knew what it meant... I found out Aya meaning colorful a while ago, when researching the meanings of some japanese characters' names.
As for it meaning Falcon, I'm sure your happy to be close to an eagle. ;p

Oh yes, I'm very happy. And I always knew Aya was Japanese, but never what it meant exactly. 'Ayashe' is of Native American Cheyenne origin, but I don't pronounce it the way it should be said. I say 'uh-yah-shee' where it should be 'ay-ay-shee' or something like that.
