Miles stood up. He was thirsty. He ran to the river for a drink, then laid down by the river. The leaves tickled his stomach, as he looked up at the clouds.

The male stood stiffly, unsure if he should try talking again --because we al know how that went-- or just walk away. "Yeah." He decided on saying, a hint of shyness in his tone.

Zahra noticed the male was somewhat hesitating. She listened, wondering if he would start talking like before, when she could barely understand what he was saying, but this time he didn't. Not sure what to say, she stared at him for a few seconds then decided to tell him her name. "Well, um. My names Zahra, what about you?" She also hesitated while talking, because she usually didn't have conversations, and this was weird to her.

"La'keem. Nice to meet you Zahra. Who's that little one?" He asked, motioning with his head at the cub, who was near her back legs.

Zahra smiled. It seemed she was worried about nothing, this male seemed to be no threat. "This is Cuxtal." She said, sounding a bit more confident. Cuxtal then leaped for her tail, causing her to lose footing for a few seconds. Zahra turned around and whispered something into Cuxtals ear, only loud enough for him to hear. Cuxtal then backed away a little.

The smile that spread across his face was soft. "Nice name. Is he your ...real son? I mean, its just he does not look a lot like you, and, ah, if he was your son, I'd be worried your mate might shread me or whatever---yeah."

Zahra was pretty shocked- somewhat offended, when La'keem asked if Cuxtal was her real son. "Well," She started, trying to talk in a voice low enough to where Cuxtal couldn't hear, but La'keem could. "You don't have to to worry about the mate thing.." She said, sounding a bit hesitant. This was awkward too her, but she was trying her best not to show it.

"I didn't mean to offend. It doesn't matter or not if he is your blood son or heart son, I was simply worried that a mate would come murder me if he found you talking to me." He explained, ears falling back. Keem muttered something that seemed to sound like "Social retard..." to himself.

Zahra listened as he talked. She knew about how he was worried about her mate --Which she doesn't have-- but she felt that he also had another thing on his mind. "Well, I already told you, you don't have to worry about that" She said, sounding a bit annoyed. She then heard him mutter something, but couldn't exactly hear what he said. She twitched her ears, waiting for him to reply, when suddenly Cuxtal leaped onto her back. "Stop that!" She hissed at Cuxtal, louder than she meant to.

Keem jumped as she yelled, eyes wide. "Stop what?" He blurted, embarrased and shy again.

Zahra felt embarrassed when she saw that La'keem thought she yelled at him. "Sorry, I wasn't talking to you.." she said quickly. She then noticed her wound was starting to hurt quite bad again. Out of pain, she turned her head away from the male, trying not to show her pain. She already felt embarrassed enough, she didn't need her injuries, that she got from a tree, making the embarrassment worse.

The male raised an eyebrow, staring at her. He noticed the females embarrisment--whatever reason she was, he didn't know-- and frowned. Keem slowly looked her up and down, head tilting. "Oh. I forgot, you're hurt. I.... uh, would you like somewhere to stay? For the night? I mean you obviously don't have to, but, ahh, you're more than welcome to."
