((I had started this post this morning with my squirrel wondering how wolves could climb trees in some sentence or so. Because they actually can't because of anatomy, (and so ) but fiction supposes that they're smart enough (I use the meaning for intelligence loosely, as in human-like intelligence) that they can overcome that somehow. And glowing has to do with either magic or chemical makeup, so its fiction either way we go, whether it be fantastical or scientifical. What I mean is, let's accept what's normally fiction-like, have our characters pause in bafflement at the fiction (unless they're used to it), just to acknowledge it, and then laugh at their bewilderment.))
((...Just saying because I had thought that minor allowances of fiction was allowed, since foxesrule didn't complain about Nova's glowing thing, and in Warriors they often have cats apply fictional medicine....))
Scuttle opened her mouth about to answer that she had no idea where the other strange wolf came from, but the irritable wolf cut in angrily. Scuttle hopped off of Nova's back and tentatively moved to look up at her face. She winced. Oohhh, that eye did not look nice... She quickly ducked back to Nova's side as the wolf spat fire in her anger against the owl, and the blue glow at the right edge of her vision intensified. Funny kind of wolf, Nova was. Must be one of those foreign "Mexicans".
Then Shadow snarled, and Scuttle looked over as the wolf decided to climb a tree. "Sheesh, what's with animal grumps today?" the tired black squirrel grumbled moodily. She scowled. And wolves everywhere were climbing up trees, despite their physique and behavioral nature putting them at a huge disadvantage. Not to mention that their claws had no grip for anything but ground. So many anomalies and nature-defying feats and existances were popping up!
Also, it seemed that although Shadow seemed helpful enough, she had gotten angry when Nova said something to Skyeler. Scuttle blinked at this realization, and then narrowed her eyes suspiciously as the wolf came back with a glob of green stuff and slapped it in front of them as least-awkwardly as a wolf could do.
It made a squelching noise as it hit the ground. The squirrel recoiled in disgust, wrinkling her nose, in case it had a foul smell.
"What is that?!" she exclaimed, forgetting her distrust of the (apparently) medicine wolf to know what that gross-looking blob was! When Shadow explained briefly what it was shortly after, she squinted at it. "Medicine?" she stared doubtfully.
What was medicine? Magic? Of course, she'd seen plenty of magic, and knew a leaf to eat if you got fever, but wounds were always fatal or long-lasting. Something to heal and stop pain? Impossible.

Shadow laughed at scuttles reaction " yes, its medician. An old One But it is medician, scuttle, if you could do the honors of dabbing it on Nova's eye if you please, and if you have any wounds feel free to apply them to yourself." Shadow sniffed around briefly and listend " ok, so there is a herd of elk over in a meadow North and there is a few berrys in these bushes... This should provide us with some food... Now, how about shelter... Scuttle? Any ideas? Can you See anything?" She turned to look at the black squrrel "scuttle?"

(Canines can climb trees. They're just usually bad at it. My friends dog could climb oak trees, and quite well.)
Calm down, Nova... C-calm down... Don't want to kill everyone. The black wolf thought and shook her head shakily as the other wolf plopped down some green glop. "I'm not putting that on my... eye," she growled flatly, using the back of her wrist to wipe her bloodied, terribly torn eye. "Goddang owl...Gonna..rip it to shreds... and EAT IT," she mumbled to herself with an angry tone.

Shadow looked at the nova " yes, I wish to hunt the owl, its REALLY got on my nerves, But, if Your eye hurts put it on, or scuttle will. Now, are you hungry? How about a spot of elk? Ill get a calf so i can drag it here " she turned around and ran towards the smell of elk, she crept closer and closer untill she ran full pelt and startled the herd, they ran forward to escape But before they knew it two of their calves were dead. Shadow slowly dragged One carcuss to were nova and scuttle stayed and dragged the other shortly after. " there! Dinner! , for us wolves that is, ill get you some Dinner now scuttle, that is, if I can.. " she said happily, ahe turned and looked in all the bushes, overall she found ; 12 rasberrys, 10 seeds and 5 blueberrys.
" is this ok? Took me a while to find them all, phew!" She pushed the food into the center.

((They can? That's very interesting! I never knew that before.

))
((Poor Shadow... she's only trying to make friends, and here sleep-deprived bold Scuttle has to be a grouch.))
Scuttle sighed. Why was the Shadow-wolf speaking for her? As a matter of fact, she had
no desire to get anywhere near the injured wolf's eye, nor to slap some shady poultice on it. Scuttle did not have any sort of death wish. Plus, the slimy stuff looked really gross. She didn't want to touch it.
"My dinner? I can-" she started to say when she realized that the wolf was going to try to get
her food too, but Shadow was already rummaging in the bushes. Scuttle winced for every branch that broke, and growled at the swishing of the leaves. Please! She ground her teeth together in frustration. She could get her own food!
The black squirrel crossed her arms and tapped her foot against the ground irritably as Shadow came back with way more food than she could ever eat. Scuttle was ticked. She'd always had a 'Me do it!' attitude since she was a baby, and she hated now that someone actually found reason to
do something for her! She'd never expected someone would - she was a wild animal! But then this Wolf came, and she was annoyed, so she decided grumpily to find something wrong with the wolf's honest work, without a thought on the follies of angering a previously content possible-predator. "That's way too much!" she said grouchily. "What do you expect me to do with the rest? Bury them??"
By the by, a simple solution would be just to put the ones she couldn't eat back on the ground where they were found. It would be easy enough for others to... ahem... clean up the
mess once the two intimidating wolves were out of the vicinity. Scuttle, being bad-tempered, didn't realize this hole in her logic, just as travelling with an unusally protective guardian and meeting a similar wolf had relaxed her guard around such creatures for the time being.
Hopefully Scuttle would be back to her wary, nervous squirrel self and get
away from the wolves before they decided to eat her to shut her up.
Squirrels do enjoy chatter, after all. And squirrel doesn't taste too bad....

Nova's eyes widened at the sight of the Calves. "I don't eat meat" she said stiffly, eyes narrowed. Blood still slowly slid from her eye sluggishly, and she was feeling slightly light-headed from blood loss. The female stiffly stood up and walked to the irritated black Squirrel, and licked up half of the berries and seeds. "Meat disgusts me," she mumbled below her breath.
(shes just always grumpy. s'part of her personality)

Skyeler watched as blood oozed out of the wolves eye. "May I please have your name my little red eye?" she asked, teasingly. She wanted to make fun of the name.

She exhaled loudly and looked at the pile of leaves near a tree longingly. If only I could ...sleep..hngh... But, can I really trust this wolf with Scuttle?
