June soon stopped "sprinting". She was tired now, snakes never had much stamina. She climbed up another tree and napped.

After inspecting the log, and finding nothing left there, she started padding away in a different direction. She found a river, and crouched down to take a drink of water. Though her thirst was now quenched, she was still hungry. She would have to find some food soon, but for now she climbed a tree that slightly leans over the river, and slowly drifted to sleep.

Zahra was woken up by a loud screeching from right behind her. She turned around, careful not to fall off the branch to see what it was- its just a bird, she thought. Zahra pawed at the bird trying to make it leave, but as she did that another noise from below startled her and she lost her balance. She fell and luckily clawed into another branch, keeping her from falling more, but the branch seems unsturdy under her weight. Zahra started slowly getting her way more towards the base of the tree, hoping the branch would not snap.

June was awake and hunting again. That's pretty much what she did, hunt and nap. She slithered up a branch and looked for unsuspecting animals.

Just as Zahra was almost to the base of the tree, she heard a loud snap- The branch snapped and she desperately tried to grab on to the base of the tree before falling again, but she missed and fell right into shallow water of the river. It was shallow enough for her to stand, but she also felt pain. She scrambled up to shore and limped up to a bush. She sat down and started looking for injuries from the fall. She found nothing though, except for a bad cut on her thigh, which she thinks is from the branches, or maybe a sharp rock in the water did it. But for now she lay there and licked her cut, listening closely. She didn't want anything else to come make this day worse.

Miles was laying down by the river, watching the water flow. He laid his head down on his paws and dozed off. After a few minutes he woke up, he stood up and he put his paws in the water.

Zahra got up and limped towards the river. She looked around, then lowered her head to drink some water. She is still very hungry, and her injury isn't going to help. She turned around and awkwardly climbed up a tree and laid down on the lowest branch. Her injury was making everything harder for her.

Miles turned around and headed towards the trees for shade, he walked over to a large tree and sat down under it in the shade. He watched bugs crawl over the ground. He was quite sleepy, and laid back down again.

Zahra looked down to see a smaller animal on the ground. It looked sort of like her, except a lot smaller. She let out a hiss at the animal, not sure if it can climb trees or not.

(By the way, the smaller animal is Miles, if thats ok)

Miles sat up hearing a hiss he looked up and saw a much larger animal, he stood up quickly and moved back a bit, he didn’t want to get in a fight. He looked away. And ran off to another tree and looked behind him making sure it wasn’t a chase.

Zahra noticed the animal was running. Maybe the animal had a kill or something she could eat. She jumped down from the branch, landing clumsily from her injury and slightly limped foward. She then noticed she was showing that she has an injury, and that isn't something she wants to do. She sniffed the air, making sure the smaller animal is the only one around, so that nothing comes when she doesn't expect it.
