Im not sure what to say to help... I was never really in that position was but I have been in a similer experince with my best friend. It was back in fifth grade there was this new kid in school andd he looked lonley so I tryed to befriend him. I noticed how my best friend seemed kind of down because of it so I introduced them to each other and life took its toll. Now its kind of a three muskiteers kind of thing. My advice if they don't come to you go to them and be yourself.
