I love pixel art :D It looks... uhh... "lovely" XD Dunno if that'd be the best word, but I want to call it that. o3o

Early prototype of a sprite for a... project I'm working on. Man, I haven't sprited in forever, I think I'm getting rusty.

I went a tiny bit overboard on the shading. xD It looks too... smooth. Constructive crits would be greatly appreciated.

How about adding something to make sure it looks like it has two ears? Also, the tail needs slight improvement to it's shape.

If it's standing on flat ground, then the tail shouldn't go past the paws? :P
Even though it does look smooth, the shading is actually very good! :O
The tail is too pointy, personally, but that can always be a bit hard... maybe just another little pointy fluffy-spot? XD I don't know how to say it...

Heh, the tail-going-past-feet thing is something I have trouble with. xD I've got an idea to remedy that though... Whoops, forgot about the ear. xD I was going to fix that, but it totally slipped my mind. Also realized I forgot to shade the white parts.
EDIT:

It seems to be looking much nicer. ^-^

So, I sketched this last night before going to sleep. Reference thanks to my dear little kitteh, Spoogie <3

Then today, out of curiosity, I tried to color it. Only the left eye is the most detailed so far, although I'm worried it isn't quite the color of her eyes. D: I do love the black dot on her nose, though <3 And ignore the white highlighting, I'll have to fix it.
But, I'll have to try and stop this random coloring and get back to zOMGdeer and the serval D:

Thanks Quagga! ^^
Nowayy there's no 'too smooth' shading I've ever seen, it's great!

Oooh, nice Quagga! Especially love the eye. Nice and detailed. ^.^
I got bored today and decided to draw a kitty. Well... I guess more of a lynx then a cat. But its a feline. Which... is what I wanted.
Tips/opinions? And which is probably better: this cat or the wolf i drew? |:

Sorry for the size... I got lazy and didn't feel like sizing it down. ^.^;

I like it Star. There is something that bothers me though...its the muzzle. Seems very off an anime like.

Anime-ish? Hm. Maybe thats just my style.. wish I could draw anime humans. I was aiming for a more realistic drawing, but the flat horizon line and the sort-of-anime style seems to take away from that. :/

Very nice Skeer- I meant Lysander (Darn, I need to stop calling you Skeer). Except something about the front legs is bothering me. Also, the cat seems kind of slim. The shading however is AMAZINNGG, seriously, I love it. How do you do it?

Skeer, not bad. If I had to guess the program I'd say paint. Or Gimp. I like the simple shading, but the cat seems a bit too thin... Mine used to be like that, but now they seem to be doing better. And some reason the eyes keep making me think of someone's art on youtube... similar style maybe?
Nya, I dunno what to draw... suggestions?

StarWolf- I would only suggest... "clearer?" eyes; not blended as much. And if the yellow is the sun in the background, I don't thing the shading would be quite like that. :P I'd have to say that the mouth seems a bit odd as well - I don't see :< mouths, I think they're actually similar to :3 mouths. Which has always been odd to me... Ohwell, still ^-^
Maybe draw... a DRAGON? Antelope? PENGUIN! ... giraffe, fishy, zebra, kangaroo, mouse, peafowl...
Lysander- The style of art is odd to me! :O Not familiar with such shading in such an image! And, even if the critter is naturally thin, try to remember it has bones - ribs. Bones can help outline. *shrug*
