"Its okay, it's my fault for sitting there." She said, staring out in the rain. "Yeah, that's true." She agreed, noticing La'keem was worried too. "It's gonna get so bad were gonna have to leave, isn't it?" She whispered to La'keem, thought quiet enough to where Cuxtal couldn't hear. She looked at the male, this time not hiding her fear. She knew this was a bad situation, and by the looks of it, it was going to get worse.

His gaze softened when he looked at her. He didn't like seeing her afraid. It made his breath catch and something in his chest clench. "I hope not. But... yeah, probably." La'keem said weakly, suddenly not meeting her eye. "I'll make sure we get somewhere safe, though," he paused, then glanced at the rain. "If you don't mind my help, I mean."

Zahra felt a bit stunned knowing that La'keem agreed with her about probably having to leave, but she knew it was most likely the truth. "Of course that's okay." She mumbled. She then realized that La'keem must have heard her when she mumbled about being helpless before. She looked down at Cuxtal, putting the thought out of her mind. "We're going to be alright." She reassured the cub, trying not to show her fear. She wasn't even sure if Cuxtal would survive in the cold rain if they ended up getting stuck outside. Zahra sighed, and looked out at the rain.

The next time the animals sleep, they all get a dream. Each experiences it differently, but it means the same: The forest will flood, go into the highlands.

The male nodded slowly and walked to the nest. "I'm sure we'll be fine for now. We should... sleep." He mumbled absently. It just felt like he needed to sleep.

Zahra nodded and lay down in the nest with Cuxtal. She cuddled with Cuxtal til he fell asleep, and slowly Zahra started falling asleep too, listening closely to the pouring rain.

The male nodded, curling up on the leaves. He frowned as his eyes began to droop shut, exhaustion taking over him.

La'keem's eyes flew open as the water rushed into their little shelter. He looked around, seeing that Zahra and Cuxtal were gone. The male began to panic, and struggled to get out before the entire 'den' was flooded. As he began to swim in the 5-foot-deep water, he saw it. The way it seemed have a aura of safety and hope. The male didn't quite understand, but he was drawn to it. He was dieing, but he still made his way to the hills. His muscles were seizing from all the effort, and he was going down...down... the dark, murky water scared him, and he struggld. The water filled his ungs and it all went dark.

Gasping, he opened his eyes and panted. His head whipped around, looking for the two others in the den. His breathing evened out as soon as he saw them. "Oh...dream.." he murmured unsurely. It felt real. And he still felt the need to goto the higher ground, also.
When his paws touched water, he jumped, and then realized there was a large puddle that was filling the den. "We need to go." La'keem said, nudging Zahra and Cuxtal awake.

Zahra was already asleep, but all she saw was water. Water everywhere. Cuxtal and La'keem were gone, and she wasn't even sure where she was. Gasping for air, she then saw the moon lighting the way to the highlands, somewhere she's never been. "We need to go."

Suddenly Zahra awoke. She looked around, relieved seeing that Cuxtal and La'keem were still here, but the water... The water was already getting into the den. Zahra quickly got up and looked outside. "I feel like... We have to go to the highlands." She said, still a bit shaken from her dream.

[Swifty]

He looked at her with an odd expression. "I do too." He murmured, walking to the entrance and letting out a sigh. "Its already about a foot deep. Be prepared to get wet." La'keem declared, tail swishing as his eyes squinted to see out of the sheets of rain.

Zahra sighed. She never really liked getting soaked, but it looked like she had no choice. She reached down and grabbed Cuxtal by the scruff. Though the extra wait of the cub made it even harder for her to travel, she wouldn't let him go without being carried. She limped out into the pouring rain, getting soaked almost right away. The water swishing around her legs was making it hard for her to keep her balance, but she knew she had to keep going.

He frowned at her as he caught up. "Want me to take him?" Keem asked, staring at the way she struggled by herself in the water, let alone with the extra weight of Cuxtal.

Zahra turned her head towards La'keem, and set down Cuxtal in the swirling water. "If you could, I'd be very grateful." She said with a smile. She honestly would rather carry Cuxtal on her own, but she knew that with her injury it was just going to make it harder for herself. It was then her wound once again started burning with pain. She quickly turned away, trying not to show her pain. Last thing she wanted was getting Cuxtal even more terrified by showing her pain and fear.
