Cretaceous Mongolia Roleplay

"Soro, Snaps back. Hes been down by the pond," Rip inturupted.

[dinoman]

Soro's eyes shot open and his tongue recoiled to his maw. The chicks jumped off of him quickly as he flipped over. The young retreated to the nest and Soro placed a bunch of branches over the nest. "Safety thing, went over it with them, they're smart for being so young." He commented before heading out. "Looks like he wants to start a war. Well, if it's war he wants, it's war he'll get." Soro snarled before running in the direction of the enemy pack's territory.

Rip followed him. She didn't have feelings for Snap anymore, she had been the one to leave him, but she was nervous about meeting him again. Of course, she also had a rage that only came to mothers protecting their babies. Snap and his family closing in on her and Soro's territory could mean big trouble.

Soro arrived at the pond and looked around. Everything seemd clear. He began marking around the pond again, covering Snap's scent. This was war.

Rip looked around. No sign of the raptor anywhere. "I'm gonna go check on the chicks," she said, heading off in that direction.

Soro nodded and went down to the water's edge, getting a drink.

Rip noticed uneasilly that the smell of foriegn raptors was growing stronger. She finally got backto the den, and went inside to see a stranger female digging through the nest. "Whoever you are," Rip said in a dark voice, "you had better leave before your blood stains my nest." The she-raptor sneered at her, "What are you going to do? You're but a chick yourself! This is my-" Rip jumped at her mid-sentence.

Soro returned to the den to hear a fight. He rushed in to see a female and Rip fighting. He screeched and charged at the foreign female.

RIp held down the female. "This is my territory, not yours. This is my nest, not yours. These are my chicks, not yours. Now leave, before I slit your throat!" she growled. The female retreated, and Rip chased after her for a little while. She then returned home to assess the damage.

Soro looked down at the chicks. One of them, a male, had a gash down his face, but seemed fine. Other then that, just shaken. If it was war before, what was it now?

RIp growled lowly when she saw the injured chick. "They will not be left unpunished," she said.

[dinoman]

"And I think we'll start such punishment by finding their nest. But for now...I think it's time to move." He said, looking at the torn up nest.

[Grep42]

"Yes, we should. Prey's become scarece anyway," Rip replied, herding the chicks out.

Soro nodded and led the way, passing small, moving herds of prey. They took no notice and just continued on, as the furry things reclaimed their den.

Moving young chicks is no easy job, especially when it's their first time out of the den. Rip eventually got them to a small tree with sturdy branches. "Up you go, we'll nest here tonight," Rip said, "coming Soro?"
