Soro grabbed his meat and hid as far into the shadows of the bush as he could, eating the meat and keeping an eye on Rip, in case he needed to bolt.

Rip shook her head as she watched him. The good thing about Snap was he was no coward. Soro's great, but he's a little jumpy. Ah well, everyone has flaws. She finally just went back into the den and tended to the eggs.

Soro had reason to be. An angry female was deadly, especially to a male, no matter what species, or size comparison of the genders. If you've angered a female, say our prayers. His late Uncle Xander learned that with Aunt June when desperation forced him to eat their young. May he rest in pieces.

Rip went into the den to find a very brave furry thing in the nest. She screeched at it and chased it out. As soon as it left she went down to check on the eggs. One was cracked...

[dinoman]

Soro heard the screech and saw the furry thing he got up and charged, his sickle claw sliced the thing open and in half. He grabbed the front half and ate greedily, then hurried to the den. "What ha-No..." He muttered.

Rip turned to see Soro. She had a sad look in her eyes. "Only four left,"

Soro walked over to her and nuzzled her. "We have to guard them as best we can..." He muttered.

She nodded slowly. Rip then turned back to the others, inspecting them carefully. She cleaned up the dead egg, and then sat by her nest, determined not to move until they hatched.

Soro walked back out and grabbed the other half of the furry thing. He came back in and set it down for Rip before turning and heading out, marking the den, then going to scout the territory.

Rip tore it up before she ate it, though it was already dead. She then went back to her job of egg sitting.

Soro was sniffing a mound of dirt. It smelled of oviraptors. He dug into it and found eggs. He drooled and began eating, covering his maw in yolk. However, the parents were returning, two of the larger, more aggressive species. They screeched and charged Soro, who grabbed two more and ran, leaving the few eggs left to the angry parents. He returned to the den and hurried in, placing the egg in his maw in front of Rip. "Two oviraptors..." He said in anguish. "The big kind."

Rip growled softly, "Are they the digging kind?"

[dinoman]

Soro shrugged. "They had a nest mound, but I don't know." He said.

Rip peered suspiciously past him, out the den. "Well, if we move they'll surely get us. And there's no time to build a tree nest, lets just hope they're not,"

[dinoman]

Soro stared at her. "Tree nest?" He asked.
