Does any one know about wolfquest? Is it any fun? I just joined. So please comment some info about what you think. <3

3D graphics: great
1 Player Plot: Pretty good
Multiplayer: It sucks.

And that about sums up my opinion of WQ... =P

How do I play without downloading a bunch O' flower?

...You don't.

Yeah, and when you get bored of it, just uninstall it.

wolfquest is a failure

why wolfquest failed:

The release thier games in small sort of finished episoded.Another game that did this is I predator but it still more fun then wolfquest because the actually completed everything they put in to it. Even though Wolfquest has great visials they do not have very good gamplay. Just so you know what im getting at heres an example of what im trying to say.

in episode 1
me: ok got the quest find a mate completed... what now?
game: games over!!! me: what the morning sun... what am i supposed to do now???

in episode 2

Okay i got 6 missions done... I completed find a den,mark territory,train pups,protect pups, feed pups,move pups...
game: games over!!!
me:


in 2.5
me: ok i completed both games lets see what new features i got... *sit, lie down,sleep, and repeat.*
game: game is still over you still have to wait a year or more to get good gameplay or possibly never.

that was my wolfquest experience that has been going on sense 2008.


Now i do not play the game anymore but every so often i browse thier fourms. Not as much as i used to though.


there are other reasons why wolfquest failed but this post has become to long already.

Yeah, WQ is a great concept but the team behind it has absolutely no idea what they are doing. I know many things require funding such as site up keep but they make the most basic things should like a ton of work.

What really destroyed the game for me was that it too them say TWO years to complete a small bug filled portion of the game! Perhaps longer, I don't know...
If they actually do come out with an episode three or something I will play it, but probably not for long.

And finally, my view on the multiplayer. Oh, you can't even make a typo or use intelligent words in the chat boxs, or smiles...nothing...its lagging and just a beat up version of single players...

You are better off playing the DOS game WOLF or Feral Heart.
Ahh, and WEO of course.

My experience:

I started playing when episode 2 was out. It was SO annoying because it took 30 minutes just to find a mate!!! Then, I tried and tried to get the perfect mate, which took 10 minutes. After I found one, I looked for my den. I hate how far they are apart!!! It took a while, then I found it. After I settled in, I named my pups. Then, it was protect them, that took 2 days. Then feed them. 1 week. Then, when it was time to move, I say there are WAY to many predators. Then, when I made it with 3 pups, it wouldn't even say I won!!! Then 2.5 came out and I played multiplayer. UGH!!!!! I can't have a single letter out of place of it won't post!!! It is laggy and it glitches all the time. COMPLETE FAIL!!!


Oh, and Kazz, you're right. It's EVERYWHERE!! But hey, I'd rather play that than WolfQuest.

Well, I believe you. I left when it first came out due to it being boring so I have no idea what its like now.

That's true, but if you look past it, and you meet some people (which I did, and it was great) then the game can be really enjoyable c:
