*Midnight looked at Xena. "Welcome to the pack."

Xena dipped her head, "Thankyou, Midnight," The pack was small now, but she was sure it would grow. For now, Xena would take care of herself and stand by Midnight.

* Midnight dipped her head back. "Will you go hunting? I'll go with you."

"Sure," Xena smiled and lifted her muzzle high to sniff the air. Ah, deer were grazing nearby. "C'mon, I smell something," she went quickly and quietly in that direction.

Midnight followed silently.

"There they are," Xena whispered. She stalked around to the front of the herd, and waited for Midnight to chase one of them towards her.

Midnight spotted one of the weakest deer. It was limping. She howled, and the herd scattered. The derr fled into groups. The limping she deer went by herself up towards the trees. She sprinted towards the deer, Xena at her heels

Xena sprinted, her powerful legs propelled her towards it's weak frame. She tackled it, leaving an easy strike for Midnight.

Midnight caught up, and killed the deer with a powerful bite to the neck. She let a grunt of satisfaction. Her, and Xena caught a deer together. That was the start of Dark Valley Pack

Xena began tearing into it's flesh, eating quicky as wolves usually do. It would probably be days before another meal, and she wanted to live this one up.

She ate quickly, too, gulping down the bloody flesh. Midnight smiled, and licked her lips, and paws. She saw a a rabbit walk around a bush. "I'll get it," she whispered to Xena. She sprinted to the rabbit. It saw her, but didn't flinch. She pounced, and dug her claws into its neck. She nipped its neck. She froze. She saw little baby rabbits. She growled, and killed them all. Four baby rabbits, and a full grown female rabbit in her jaws. She grunted in satisfaction, and trudged to Xena.
