Meerkat/Predator RP

Lailas was about to say something optimistic, but then an odd scuffling sound reached their ears. "...Oh NO!" She blurted, realizing the sound. "It's DIGGING!"

"No!" Jewel screeched. Terrified, she backed up even more, next to the pups.

SunJewel kept digging. She wanted that injured meerkat! She couldn't just let it go to waste...

(Life in the burrow
Although they are excellent diggers, meerkats usually live in burrows dug by other animals such as ground squirrels. These burrows will have an average of 15 entrance and exit holes, with tunnels and chambers at several levels, some as deep as 6.5 feet (2 meters). I'd say this one around.. 5 feet? Idk)

Soro had ducked and climbed over many swipes. So when the female got hit and the cheetah actually did wake up, it went from bad to worse. Soro barked and growled, and bared his teeth, trying to scare the predator. He backed up so the females could hear. "If there's a way out, let me know now or we can start digging." He said before going back to his threat display.

Jewel heard the male, but she knew that with the pups, it would be a very risky run. "It would be really risky to run carrying the pups" she said worriedly. She looked down at the pups, and shook her head. "And the sick one is barely hanging on" she mumbled.

"There's three of them, and three of us. We could carry them as we ran..." she trailed off. "And if we don't at least try then that Cheetah will keep digging and then we'll die!" Lailas said in a shrilly voice, trembling from the pain in her stomach. "And... guys... there's another exit, but it leads right by where the Cheetah is." She added as an after-thought.

Horror stumbled out of her den, half awake. She looked in the distance and saw a cheetah digging furiously. Silly thing, it's doing it all wrong. How's it supposed to make any progress? she thought, and stumbled over.

Soro glared at the cheetah. "We have to try, we can hide under tree roots or in bushes then run when we get the chance." He said. "Because we should at least try to get away from being eaten."

[Swifty]

"I don't to die down here." She agreed, slowly making her way towards the scufflin sounds of dirt being sloppily pulled away. "It's closer!" Lailas whined, running back towards them.

Jewel nodded. She still thought it was a crazy idea, but it looked like they had no choice. "We have to get going, and quick" She said, as Lailas came running back towards her and the others..

Soro watched as the cheetah dug at the bolthole. "It's now or never." He said.
