Gabrielle looked indignantly up at the horse, and trotted to the stands. She took a seat under them and waited for the race to start.

Roxel followed Josh and the other humans happily out of the metal moving thing. "Romeo, Juliet? Come on!"

Gabrielle flicked her tail, impatient. Why won't they start... hotdog! she dived at a hotdog that was dropped from above.

Finally the gun shot. BOOM! The gates opened and Juliet shot out...

Gabrielle looked up as the horses shot past. "Hello, Gabby," a voice came from behind her.
"Hey Ricky, I got half a hotdog on Juliet, number 6,"
This was a regular pastime of cats. Betting on horse races.

The male whinnied and practically leaped from the enclosure, hooves pounding aggressively into the dirt. He exhaled loudly through his nose, making dull huffs that barely even sounded through the pounding of hooves and muscles working, hearts thudding rapidly. "Oh Juliet!" he called, racing up beside her with ease.

"I got my bets on 3 (Swifty's character)" replied the shifty tom. Some more cats came and joined them.

"We are almost done riderboy." She said as She sped ahead.

"Come on, 6!" Gabrielle meowed loudly.

He raised his head and sped ahead, the bright red line hat had bee laid in the dirt and the checkered flag dead ahead. Romero laughed, tail swishing. "You MIGHT finally win this year, sweetness."

She whisped her tail,"I will win!" She bragged

"Good luck" he said with a snort, giving it his all.

But she was faster,she crossed the finish line first. "I told you!" she said.

"Ha! Thats half a hot dog from you, you, and you!" Gabby said happily. The other cats mumbled curses under their breathes.
"Now, Gabby, remember the betting tax," Ricky said. She nudged half a hotdog towards him, and went off with her loot.

Romeo was only a few inches behind her. He let out a long whinny when they came to a stop, his rider patting him on the neck.
