Amber trotted slowly to her den, which was a huge one, which could actually hold 30 raptors. "Well, here it is.".

"Good," she said and helped Lone in first. It was huge, the bottom was soft clean sand. Rip would be a bit suspicious of her for a couple days, she was the jealous type.

Amber sat down in her leaf pile, laid down and fell to sleep. But she had an ear to hear for trouble.

Rip stayed up all night. She didn't trust her around her chicks, which is surprising counting she let a male just barge into her nest one day. The chicks were curled up behind her in their usual heap, paying no mind to anything.

The next morning, Amber got up and took a drink from the watering hole, minding her own buisness. A Saichania came and drank as well. Amber gave the Ankylosaur some space, because Saichania can be deadly.

Rip blinked sleepily, she even snapped at one of the chicks. She looked over at Shale "I'm going to nap, make sure that female raptor doesn't get near my chicks,"

Amber saw a Homocephale, and it was weak. Amber ran up to it and killed it. She started eating.

(Just ran up and killed it? I'm impressed. ((I'm sorry, I'm in a bad mood tonight)) )

(It could easily die because it was very weak.)

Rip woke up later to the smell of blood. She stalked out of the den and went to see what it was. It was that new female. "Hello Amber," she was practically drooling, she hadn't eaten in a couple days.

Soro had long since been asleep, but the smell of blood had him bolt up. He hadn't eaten much since he got seperated. He exited the large den and saw the homalochephalae...and stared at it hungrily.

Still watching Amber, Rip went up and ate some herself.

"Well, there's your breakfast. I am going to make sure that Sam the Alectrosaurus stays away from the territory.". Amber trotted to a fallen log, and growled. An Alectrosaurus was coming, and it was big. Amber puffed up her feathers, and the Alrctrosaurus wandered off.

(Sam is more of a coward than Amber.)

Sam the alectrosaurus? Rip decided not to bother finding out so she went to relieve Shale of babysitter.

Shale was very tempted to ignore Rip's orders to watch the chicks, but knew that wouldn't be acceptable. If the Alpha say something, you do it. He knew that much, but still, the scent of a fresh kill was almost too much. He tried thinking of other things to get food off of his mind. Like, what rank was he now? Was he higher than the chicks? Lower? He shrugged and let out a sigh.
