Kin raised her head off the ground slightly, smirking. "That's cute-" she was abruptly cut off by another forceful smack from her brother.
"Ignore her, she's stupid." Growled Nik, rolling his eyes. This earned him more persistant muffled grunting, and he reluctantly unpinned his sister, who began to spit out sand and dirt.
"Now, before I was so kindly interupted, you may call me Kin and this little tail-twisted creature Nik. Pleasure to meet you." She purred, waving her tail. Nik eyed her warningly, and she huffed at the look in his eyes. "Sadly, we cannot stay since my brother cannot deal with the unkown art of socialism. And he probably wants his breakfast. Though you're welcome to-"
"That's enough Kin, hurry up and come on." Nik hissed hurriedly, cutting off his sister from whatever she was going to say. I don't even want to know what goes on in that weird head of hers... He began to quickly trot his sister, leaving his sister behind for a bit.
"Ooh, he's no fun," griped Kin, watching her brother disappear into the trees. She knew he would wait for her at a distance, so she turned back to the near-black cat in front of her. "Sorry 'bout that, he can get flustered fairly easily. But, you are welcome to follow us if you want to. I'm sure Nik wouldn't mind at all," she purred, before slowly trailing after her brother, taking her time.

Tornear slowly stood, the sound of Jaypaw's voice stirring him from his sleep. He, in a slow amount of time, got up. Looking at a stray kit, he huffed. He didn't like newcomers if they weren't Thunderclan blood. "I feel fine today, Jaypaw, thank you." He told him, then slid to the woods to find prey. His one ear seemed to pick up some noise, that of which sounded like shuffling. Confused, he padded over the suspected direction and tasting the air. The male's eyes glared, noticing a pair of loners and Ravenfeather. How disappointing, Ravenfeather looked defenseless. He didn't say a word, just watching the two off in the distance, covered in the bushes.

Thunderstrike smiled, padding along. "We're going to the side of Riverclan and make our way to Shadowclan." He replied. "The river is not too far off, but I wouldn't suggest swimming in it. The currents can be rough sometimes, and I wouldn't want to risk that for you."

Ravenfeather watches the she-cat, finding her quite amusing and her brother very...he didn't know what he thought of Nik, exactly. For a moment he sits alone, crouched beneath the large tree. He's tempted to follow but...
The tom looks around, shrugs, and bounds after Kin. "Hey, wait!" he hisses, disappearing into the undergrowth after them. When he's behind Kin he growls, "Look, I'll let you two hunt for a while, but If we're caught I won't hesitate to help drive you off, got it?" In truth, he wasn't sure he'd be able to attack either.

Kin's eyes gleamed, and she nodded quickly before hurrying to catch up with her brother, who was predictibly nearby but out of sight. "Hey, Yin! Y'here that? That nice little neighbor is even letting us eat his food. Told you not everyone were mean 'ol grumpy things." Nik silently nodded, his eyes sliding past his sister to look at the dark tom cat behind her. He simply watched him, before turning away and scenting the air for food. He caught scent of water vole, but it was near the water. The dark brown tom wrinklened his nose in disgust at the thought of going near the water; who in there right mind would be that foolish? Shrugging off the thought he scented the air for more prey- there was a mouse nearby. He crouched again and glided forward, his eyes slitted until he spotted the small brown creature. His sister was on the other side, also readying for a pounce. Nik held himself back, allowing the lighter of the two siblings to easily pounce on the mouse. "Fair ith fair, bro," Kin mumbled from around the mouse before dropping it at her brother's feet. "Eat it and stop being so grumpy." Nik gave her an almost amused glare before crouching down and biting into the forest-flavored rodent. It wasn't much, but it would do until he could catch something larger for the two of them to share.

Ravenfeather feels a little guilty, sitting back while two rogues hunt prey that is rightfully ThunderClan's. Prey he should be fighting for. But Ravenfeather will not go back on his word, so they are safe unless a patrol finds them.
Watching the two hunt reminds him that the last time he ate was the day before, and that was only a small vole. Hunger taking over and controlling his mind, the dark cat pads off a little ways, tasting the air every so often. It's with an expertly executed spring and a quick bite to the neck that he dispatches a plump squirrel. Just when he's ready to eat though, he remembers the warrior code. No eating until the clan itself has been fed. Sighing longingly at the squirrel, he pads off to hunt down two more mice. Then he glances over at Nik and Kin and back at his squirrel.
The black tom stands silently in front of the two and drops the furry creature on the ground. "Here. Since I caused you to lose your last one.." he mutters, not meeting eithers' eyes.

Dawnpaw nods and puts her serious face on (The one that apparently means huge green eyes and twitching whiskers) as they patrol. Dawnpaw on dawn patrol. Fitting, she thinks, and raises her tail and holds her head high. It's not long before she slips into a steady prance, making her look like a royal queen rather than a fluffy little apprentice.

Acornpaw trailed behind the others. He didn't want them to start talking about him again, not after last time. They suddenly stopped. They had reached the river. The sound of the water made him perk his ears and listen to the sound. To him, and many other Riverclan cats, the sound of water was enchanting and beautiful. He snapped back to attention and listened to Cloverleaf and Sunbeam. "What do you smell?" Cloverleaf looked at Acornpaw then at Fishpaw. "I smell.... Thunderclan cats!" Fishpaw mewed. "Good..." Cloverleaf nodded and smiled then she turned to Acornpaw. "Acornpaw? Acornpaw!" she snapped. "Huh? What?" Acornpaw asked with confusion and Fishpaw giggled. "What.... do you smell?" Cloverleaf hissed. "Uhh.... I don't know." he turned his attention back to the water as Cloverleaf started a lecture.

Nik licked the blood off of his mouth, then proceeded to dig a tiny hole.
"Uh... what're ya doing, Yin?"
"Burying the mouse remains."
"...Why?"
"Because that way, it can return to the earth. Plus that Raven cat acted like we shouldn't be here- it would be best to bury this, if only to save him for trouble."
"You can be caring at cute when you want to be... how amazing. Never thought you had it in you, brother dear." Kin stretched, enjoying the sunlight a little. "Can we go sunbathing? I need a nap, anyways."
"Fine, let's go." Nik grumbled, feeling slightly better after having a warm meal. He led the way back down the slope, towards where he had first spotted the almost-black tom earlier. He quickened his pace into a steady run, seeing as the trees had begun to thin out. A small stream came up, but the cats easily jumped across a narrow part of it before continuing on. There was now a large river to their right, and ahead were large, flat rocks. Perfect.
"I smell more cats, Nik," His sister complained, causing her moodier brother to slow his pace to a trot. Remembering the other tom cat's words from before, he scented the air. Sure enough, a fish-like cat scent was blowing across from the river. Odd... wonder why cats would want to be near the water.
"They shouldn't come too close. Now hurry up, I'm tired now." Nik muttered, panting slightly from the recent excersise as he clambered up onto the rocks. The sun had begun to heat them up, and Nik stretched out- completely and utterly relaxed for once- keeping one eye opened lazily as his sister curled up beside him. For a moment, he thought he could see blurs moving across the river, but quickly dismissed the thought. It must be my imagination.

Tornear grumbled, darting over to Raven after the strays seemed to have left. "What was that all about?!" He retorted, huffing at Raven disappointedly. "What, did those petty loners bite your tongue?" He growled lowly, taunting him. "What's gotten into you, Ravenfeather? What kind of weak warrior are you to just let two weak loners stroll into our territory like it's nothing for them to worry about. Are they your friends? Acquaintances? You know they shouldn't be allowed in our territory! And look, you even let them have a little snack when it could've been for our hungering clan." He snarled nearly in disgust, disbelieving the fact as to what Ravenfeather did, as it was the absolute opposite of what Tornear would have done.

Thunderstrike padded nearby the river, sitting down right next to it. "Can you smell them? The cats from Riverclan, I mean." He meowed, looking at the other side of the river. "They smell like what they eat, fish, so it's incredibly easy to recognize them from any other clan." He smiled, gently tapping at the water with his paw and letting it splatter everywhere.

Ravenfeather crouches to the ground at the sudden bombardment of rebukes and simply stares wide eyed at the elder in all his fury, not daring to make a sound. He eventually can't look Tornear in the eye anymore, so he fixes his gaze on his paws like a sheepish kit. When the older cat seems to have stopped for a moment, Ravenfeather stays where he is and still refuses to look up. "They weren't doing any harm, Tornear. And surely we could have spared a mouse or two?" Despite his efforts, a note of pleading slips into the words and he feels more foolish than ever. He desperately wishes Nik and Kin could be here for some reason, then shoves the thought away. No, this is your doing, not theirs'.

Dawnpaw bounds up to her mentor's side and ends up dangerously close to falling face first into the running water. Teetering for a moment, the apprentice gazes at the dark blue surface and then scrambles backwards, deciding she genuinely hates the river. After regaining her balance, the tabby sits down and tastes the air. Sure enough, she is greeted with an odd smell that she supposed to be fish with it's resemblance to the river, and a vaguely familiar hint of marsh. She nodded, remembering the female leader. "Leopardstar is RiverClan, right?" she mews, gazing across at the reeds on the other bank.

The brown elder smirks, turning around. "You know, you're too nice for those pesky loners. I pity you, in a way. Even if they do happen to be nice or whatever, who's to say that they are spies from, let's say Riverclan or Windclan? What if they had killed you on the spot for simply letting them in..?" Tornear's expression went from anger to a slight bit of worry, as did his voice. He hesitated for a second, muscles tensed. "Nevermind that, I'm just going to forget about this and go rest my aching foot." He grumbled, averting his eyes to the ground at first what seems like regret, and then began to pad away.
(P-P-P-Plot twist!)

The yellow warrior laughed, nodding. "Leopardstar is indeed the leader of Riverclan. Let's continue our path along the river." He continues, getting up and padding along the side of the river.

((OOC: Lol Tornear is practically feeding is inner-emokitty.))

Ravenfeather was too distraught to notice the way Tornear's gaze could no longer linger on him, but he did detect a note of something like guilt or regret in his raspy voice. Anger was not something he usually felt when being rebuked, but when Tornear instantly wrote Nik and Kin off as untrustworthy, it didn't fail to ruffle his fur. He did not act on his frustration though, and rather let guilt consume him, hold him hostage and leave him helplessly crouched on the ground. Why had Tornear's words hurt so much? Ravenfeather didn't know how long he had been sitting there, eyes transfixed on the dusty ground as if it held some secret to help him in his predicament. He should be releived, but he wasn't. What had prompted Tornear to let him off so easily? It didn't make sense.

--

Dawnpaw blinked up at Thunderstrike when he chuckles, wondering whats so funny. When he doesn't enlighten, she shrugs and pads after him, eyes fixed on the opposite side of the torrent. "I wonder if RiverClan cats like rain. I like rain. It sounds nice, but I hate when my fur is wet." she makes a shaking motion with her paw, as if she'd just stepped in a puddle. "So when it does rain, I listen to it at night in my den and-" Dawnpaw could go on like this, but her attention is snatched away by something in the water. "Oh!" she gasps, leaning forward and staring into the water. "I think I saw a fish!" she purrs, bounding along the bank to see if any more of the silver flickers have dared to come close.

(Haha, I can't wait to say the line. d: It's so cheesy but funny either way.)
Tornear does his best to shrug off the scene he just pulled. His body shook, but he wanted to stop shaking before he entered the clearing. He finally mustered the courage to slide out of the woods and straight into his den. Clearly it seemed as though he didn't want to be bothered, as his eyes were filled with blank stares and his body itself felt uneasy. He almost let it slip from his old lips, what a stupid fool. Tornear shook his head. He lay on his bed, resting his body until he fell asleep again.

"I bet you hate rain because it will mess up your beautiful fur." He teased, although he was practically the same way. He was excited to see that Dawnpaw caught sight of a fish. The warrior glared at the water. "It's a tough skill, and the water here isn't too rough for you, but maybe a little slippery. Just remember that fish always seem to be a little off when you are above water. I was told that since there were so many of them, there had to be a way for them to be harder to catch. Mastering the angles as to where the fish may actually be will be hard from the start. Just stay in focus and make your final blow quick."

((OOC: Ohmigosh you have me trying to ferret out all his secrets. xD I'm not getting anywhere though. *flails*))

Dawnpaw listened to her mentor, but her gaze was fixed on the water. Waiting, waiting... "Oh my StarClan! It's huge!" she squeals, swiping at the large sliver of silver in the water.
And into the blue she falls.
The apprentice gasped when her head breaks the surface. At first she's in a panic and she acts against the current dragging her back down, but something tells her she should be doing the complete opposite. Actually, someone is telling her. She hears the voice in her head. Not behind her or in front of her, it's just there, almost within her. She has no time to wonder what has slipped her mental barriers and is projecting thoughts into her head, or if it's even possible. She simply follows it's advice.
Do not fight the water, let it carry you to safety.
In moments she's hauling herself onto the land a little ways down from her mentor. Coughing and spluttering, she slumps to the ground and manages a feeble mew, "I didn't catch it, did I?"

"Watermint should help..." Jaypaw murmured. "Eat that, and the thyme. It helps you sleep." He nodded to Leafpool for her to lick the alder juice into her cuts. "I'm checking on Tornear now," he said. He took some tansy and poppy seeds from the store and padded into the elders den. "Sorry 'bout that Tornear," he said quietly, then realized he was asleep again. He set the herbs in front of him and checked the elder quietly. He was shivering all over, so he must have gone out into the forest. He fetched some marigold and added that to the pile too, and decided he'd let the elder rest first.

"Thankyou" Sally said and, despite the fact that they did not taste good, she ate the herbs. She soon felt quite a bit better, if even more tired. She fought to keep her green eyes open but finally gave in. She slumber gladly on the soft floor, her light brown head resting in her paws and a she slowly slipped into sleep, many questions raced through her made. What was this place, who were these cats? Finally warm and comfortable she gave herself to unconsciousness, unsure if she should sleep here but to tired to care.
