Name: Selena
Gender: Female
Rank: Hunter-In-Training
Appearance: Image
Personality: She is a very playful wolf, yet can be very serious and strict. She has a very long temper, and doesn't get mad often. However, males tend to push her buttons. She is very respectful, and demands it right back from the omegas. Not to mention her big brother. She loves to play with the other pups, and would never survive as a loner.
Other: She will often get in fights with her brother. Most of the time winning. She doesn't have any parents.

Name: Apollo
Gender: Male
Rank: Warrior-In-Training
Appearance:Image
Personality: He is very flirty, yet loves to hang with the other warriors-in-training. He likes to show off and pick on his younger sister, Selena. (Though she usually wins arguments). He is very energetic, and doesn't give any mercy.
Other: He usually gets in fights with his sister, failing miserably. He also likes to tease her, which is usually the cause. He doesn't have any parents

The buzzing in the air was so relaxing. The wind, slowly blowing towards the young male wolf, smelled quite dusty, though he was surrounded by crystal white snow. He decided to hunt, he hasn't eaten for a few days now. The only thing around in this season was mice, unusual skinny. He saw a mouse, grasping onto a seed, gnawing on it for a while. He crouches down slowly, making sure his movement isn't to sudden or quick. Slowly moving closer; he pounces on it! Sinking his teeth into its neck, surely suffocating it quite quickly. It soon dies off, and he gets a meal. He wish this season had plentiful elk, this way he wouldn't go hungry for a very long while. He dug his claws into the ground, moving them back and fourth, back fourth, until a den was dug. He padded in and fell asleep, waiting for the moment he has been yearning for.

Midnight paced nervously around the camp, growling and snarling to herself all the while. Something had been hunting in their territory. Something was going to make many wolves starve. Whatever it was, was going to die. Already one of the pups had died because it's mother, a low ranking wolf before she became a Mother, hadn't been able to produce enough milk, for she still ate just before the Omegas. It was wrong. Totally wrong. They had never suffered a famine like this. Midnight padded out of camp, and sniffed the ground. Nothing. Last night's fresh snow had disguised all the scents. The wind howled in her ears like a wolf, urging her to carry on. Midnight walked a little further, then paused, tail high. She had found a strange scent. She sniffed again. It was no wolf or prey scent-Not even coyote. It was something else. Midnight followed it for a while, then hid in a voice, for she heard something. Peering around, she saw a strange, flapping skin. It smelt of the odd scent, but there was something inside it-The creature. Midnight growled under her breath and retreated back to camp to tell Frostbite.

"Frostbite?" Midnight called, eyes narrowed, "Frostbite!" she saw the strong, noble Alpha padding out of his den. Midnight dipped her head, tail lowered, for even the Lead Huntress had to do respect the Alpha of their pack.
"Yes, Midnight? You sound rather worried." he frowned, and then added, "Besides, you smell...Odd."
"Ah, yes, Frostbite, m' lord, I found a strange scent..."
Frostbite growled. "What, a stale scent that you don't recognize?"
"Well, sort of, m' lord, but I followed it and I found something." Frostbite seemed interested now.
"And?"
"Well, it led to a strange, flappy skin, a bit like a den of a sort, and it had a creature inside, which would explain the strange scent. It seemed tall."
"Hmm...Let me sleep on it."
Midnight sighed as Frostbite paced back into his den. This was very confusing.

(The 'strange creature' is near the borders of their territory.)

(I am assuming this creature is a human? The "flappy skin" is a tent, perhaps? )

Selena
Scratch... scraaaatch!
Selena's dark, chocolate eyes absorbed the white snow that blanketed the den site. Her pelt matched the enviorment, making hunting a breeze for this huntress-in-training. She opened her jaws, revealing her teeth of pearl, as a yawn pursued her. It was sunny so far, but a cloudy day can sneak up on anyone.
Scratch.. Scratch...
What was that noise? A low, steady growl emerged from the apprentice as the scratching continued. 'How long will this go on..?' was the only thing on Selena's mind.
Scratch.. Thump!
A thump that could surely start a small avalanch slitchered through the wolf-occupied forest. The pines were shaking and the icicles started to fall. Thank goodness there were no iccles above her. Just-
"What the-"
Plop!
Selena dug herself out of the snow that landed so humorly on her. At least that was what Apollo thought. He was rolling happily on the ground, laughing his heart out. He was in a vulnerable position. Quite vulnerable. As huntress-in-training, Selena knew how to hunt simple things, and she was sure her mentor knew she used the techniques on her brother, and that Midnight just found it funny to watch his torture. Everyone did.
Selena used the frosty snow to hide her from the prey. Foolish animals were to be dead animals. One must cope with the surroundings, and listen to everything it has to say. Nature has no intention of letting you ignore her for long. Punishment was something Apollo lacked, and he was about to get a beating. Selena orbitted the wolf from 10 feet away, silent as the moon. Her eyes zoomed in on the crazy creature, and locked into place. Her very heart slowed down and silented itself to help ensure a kill. Finally, she stopped behind a rock, with the background of the snow-covered hills. Her white pelt was not to be seen as the laughter died down.
Selena watched from behind the stone as Apollo's laughter stopped completely. Everything was quiet for him. Apperently too quiet. He sat up and looked about for his hidden sister. His eyes showed concern. Not for his lost sibling, but for himself. His ears were perked and tried to listen to every sound that occured. 'Hopeless,' Selena thought, 'He will be lucky if he can even advance to the warrior rank. If he fails, he will be an omega for sure..' Selena smirked at the thought of being a higher rank of her older brother. SHE would be in command... By pack law, not just by her own wits.
Apollo, on the other hand, was still a bit confused.
"Where did she- oof!"
Selena had pounced, striking like a rattler. Apollo yelped as he tumbled downward, probably fearing his life. The snow advanced from Earth to air, as the wind carried it skyward. It was like a misty morning, where you can't see the birds flying right above your head. You could stare right at them, but everything was a blur. Finally, once the snow settled slightly, a frightened face was revealed.
Selena snarled at her brother. "What were you thinking? Waking me up like that?!"
"I-I.." Apollo stuttered, "I was trying to catch a squirrel! He was jumping from branch to branch, and I was trying to climb up and-"
Selena zoned out of her brothers rambling. 'So that was all the scratching.. Stupid fool..'
"And that was when I bumped my head! Please let me go, Selena! Don't make me get Alpha Frostbite!"
'Hm..' The wolf thought, 'He sounds sencere, yet quite frightened... Even so, I don't want trouble with the alpha...'
"Fine, whatever."
And with that she let him up. She was expecting a nice thank you, but a snarl then a face full of tail was all she got.
"Coward!!" she shouted, and turned tail. "Guess I'll go find Midnight.."

Apollo
"Stupid squirrel," he whispered under his breath. "Come down!"
Apollo had not eaten for 2 days, and he was getting desperate. Not desperate enough to ask his sister to hunt something, of course. No, he had to get it himself.
Scratch.. Scratch!
He scratched the bark of the tree, trying to climb up. It didn't seem to be much use though, being all the trees were verticle and not horizantle, like the ones that provided a path across the creek. No, it also didn't help the squirrel kept moving from tree to tree. It seemed to chuckle at the attempts to climb the first few trees, but now it was just annoyed. It seemed to want to sleep, being winter was just over, and the others were still in their nice, warm holes.
Apollo barked madly at it, trying to scare it down, but only encouraged it to climb upward. The black wolf growled, then started to climb again. He made sure to show his fangs as he made his attempts. The squirrel, most likely trying to say, "Shut up!!!" started to knock down icicles from the branches above the what seemed rabbit creature. The shadow would dodge, then start to climb again. He wouldn't give up this time. He was going to get the squirrel if it started to fly away!
"Get down here!"
He yelled and howled all he wanted until he realized he was nearing Selena, his sister. He started to try to figure out the distance he was, and how much longer he could keep making ruckus. The squirrel took this chance to try to lose him. It leaped continusly from tree to tree, trying to rid himself of the wolf. It was only out of the corner of his muddy eyes he realized it was escaping.
"Get back here!" he howled as he dashed after it. They slowed down to give Apollo just enough time to climb again, but only a few seconds.
Scratch and scratch again, the squirrel would move on. Apollo made the foolish mistake of locking his eyes on it, and it led to a head-breaking find.
Thump!
"Arg!!" he yelped as he collided with a tree. He was rolling in pain at first, but sat up just in time to see snow falling from the tree he ran into. It decended from branch to branch, collecting for snow every time it hit the wood. He followed it all the way down to his just awakening sister. His mouth opened wide in shock, but as her head peaked out from the pile of snow, he couldn't contain his laughter. On the ground he rolled, releasing everything that was packed up inside of him. By this time the squirrel was long gone, but Selena must be confused! The laughter continued until he realized he was being stalked. Now he was worried. He was going to get it, he was sure. He peered about the forest, hoping, just hoping she left. But no.
"Where did she- oof!"
He tumbled to the ground in fear, yelping as his back slammed into the ground, screaming in pain. He felt he was to cough up his throat, chich many have felt before. Snow flew into the air, blurring his vision. Only once it cleared did it reveal a snarling face.
Apollo was frightenened. Even though this was just his younger sister, she was a huntress-in-training. He was to be a warrior, but training hadn't truly begun yet.
"What were you thinking? Waking me up like that?!" she snarled, quite irate actually.
"I-I.." Apollo began to stutter as the words left his trembling jaws. "I was trying to catch a squirrel! He was jumping from branch to branch and I was trying to climb up but I couldn't,. He started to jump from tree to trees faster, so I went faster. I locked my eyes on it, and that's when I bumped my head! Please let me go, Selena! Don't make me get Alpha Frorstbite!"
The black pup took a deep breath and thought if he had been convincing enough. Selena could be a tough nut to crack, even more so when she had been woken from her slumber. She seemed to be taking thought into what he had said, then finally, she lifted herself off of him.
"Fine, whatever," she showed him that she could be nice, yet still told him not to do it again. It was like a language for these two. However, Apollo didn't appreciate this responce, and growled, loud as thunder, and made sure to bare his fangs as doing so. Realizing he would get in much more trouble now, he turned tail and ran.
"Better go find Midnight," he told himself, "to see when the next hunt is.."

(I was working on this for two whole days! xP Next is Silver the mouse!)

(xp I loved you post! ^^)

Midnight sat up from where she was sitting, shaking the snow out of her fur. She had been watching Apollo trying to catch that squirrel, and it was a good job he was going to be a warrior, not a hunter. She trotted over to Apollo, and barked,
"If you want to eat any squirrels, you'll need to learn how to climb trees while being stealthy... Try grasping a branch with two of your paws and then pulling yourself up, then jump onto the next branch, and so on.. The stealth is a matter of practise." before snorting and walking away.

Rock lay down, head in his paws, in the forest. He always tried to stay away from the pack's camp, and sometimes went to sleep in a place of his choice outside the camp so he could have some shelter. Suddenly, he jerked up as a twig cracked. He leaped up, cautious, looking around. A small, measly coyote approached. It looked miserable, and it's tail was low. If coyotes are civilised at all, he decided, it's an Omega. He locked gazes with the coyote, and it ran off. Poor thing. Rock padded around the territory for a while, and then stopped dead in his tracks. A small, brown shape was hiding in the snow. It twitched but didn't move. Rock sniffed it, and then lifted it off the ground. He started to lick the snow off the creature and then realised-It was a coyote pup. It's fur was sodden and cold, and he put his ear to it's tiny chest. The heart was beating, but only just. He suddenly felt a wave of emotion come across him, and felt determined to save it. Rock found shelter under a large rock, and placed the pup down, curling around it. He licked it for all he was worth.

Burn awoke, and left the den. He saw around him, a strong, strong, scent. He followed it, and saw a dead elk, and ran to tell Frostbite. (Sorry, on my iPad.)
