"i don't know you if you want to be" strixa said "a pygmy and a barred owl as parents of an unknown egg now thats a sight"

"Me?! Me?!" He fluffed up with surprise. "I cant be a dad! Im not dad matierail!" he siad.

The egg suddenly felt warmed as aother owl sat apon it. "Now look at that! Strixa is so sweet!" A owl keeper told another keeper. The chick started pecking at it's shell. A crack formed outside. The chick started peeping and continued to peck at the shell. It started to give up...

"Ah its hatching! Ah it stopped!" he siad looking at the crack. "Come on out baby birdy!" he siad in his sweetest tone.

"come on out sweety we wont hurt you you" strixa said softly getting up.

(Owls dont regurgatate btw.) "Ok soft food!" he siad swooping down. He came up with a caterpiller. "Ta-da!"

"Were did you get the caterpillar on such short notice"

"It was on a leaf!" he siad proudly.

"If you can hunt for crawlies you can be a father thats all you need to do plus clean it tell it storys love it nurture it....."Strixa said

"F-father? I dunno.." he siad shyly. "I dont think I would be a good dad..."

"and im probably the worst mother in the world"Zula said"come on zely(what i say when im trying to be sweet)It will be fun and you'll gain some experience so if they put another pygmy owl in here and expect you two to be mates then you'll already know how to care for a chick, not to mention the fact that we are in a zoo and not in the wild so we do have the support of the humans."

(Actually, my name will be Mischief when I hatch! And I think..... he will be a boy! If you want a girl I could always make another one or something or change it!)

He started pecking at the shell again and a big crack formed. His beak sticked out of the cracked and he pushed the shell apart. He peeped a bit but then calmed down and closed his eyes tight. He finally opened them again and looked around this new and wonderful world. He looked at the other 2 owls. "Mama, dada?" he peeped.

Was: "Mama, dads?"

"Well i guess you could classify me as mama"strixa said softly"You got yourself into a lot of mischief if you ended up here"suddenly it burst upon her"im going to call you mischief"Strixa said and preened mischief.

Mischief repeated the name happily. "Mischief!" he cried happily. Then he smelled a caterpillar. He hopped out of his shell and picked at it. He threw it around a couple of times the gulped it down.

EDIT: "Mishief!" he cried happily.

He let out a small peep in surprise. "Um yeah... sure... dada..."
