Buying an animal

Helloo.

I was wondering if I could possibly "buy" bats into the game? Maybe I could donate an amount of money in exchange for you guys to add vampire bats? That would be really awesome and I would like a response. If bats are added to basic, I would be able to donate 50$ at most, maybe 45$. If advanced, I guess I could donate 10$ or 20$ and spend the rest on advanced game. Please respond!

I don' think it's possible because they would have to custom make a sprite and then there's the programing and all the high tech stuff. And for bats a day and night system would have to be implemented and I don't think there are any vampire bats native to North America. But fruit bats you have to program and entirely new food source like apples or something. As for insectivore bats they would have to add new types of insects that stick around in the fall and winter do the bats don't starve.

In other words it will cost much more then 40 or 50 dollars. So buying bats into the game with a maximum of 50 bucks probably won't work. If it was possible some of the older WEO members could have done so already. Not to mention the game creating team is extremely small. I think most of the work is done by WEO himself. In fact I think some users regard him as the games guardian deity almost.

(All hail WEO!)

Maybe I could raise the price. I need to know how much they are needing to make it, but 50 was a rough guess. I could go up to 300 if it is necessary, maybe a little more, but I need to know the exact price.

Most of the money for the game comes from purchasing the advanced game. Money is most likely not an issue. Its that the team that works on it is extremely small. So it takes a lot of time. Plus like a said for bats like you want. They would have to add a day and night system, a new food system, make the new animal from scratch, etc. etc.

So buying an animal into the game at all just might not an option. Just be patient.

Plus in terms of fairness, would it really be fair if you bought bats into the game. When their are other users who may also want their preferred animals added.

Yeah, I guess, but the only animal I really like in the game is a condor and a bobcat, maybe a goat, so I really like bats and even the thought of one in the game just makes me smile :D

I believe that the last time that WEO considered adding in animals, we put up a poll to see which of the selected animals would be wanted the most. That way it was pretty much majority vote. I've seen a lot of people here that have been very fond of the idea of bats being in this game, but only if there was a day/night cycle to come with it. I would like a bat to be in this game as well for how unique it is compared to the other animals in this game. I have zero knowledge about if paying for an animal to be on this game for WEO would work, though. Sorry.

I also doubt this would work.
There is 47 bat species native to North America (most found throughout the United States).

The biggest issue to this would be the night cycle. I think that a night cycle would be great, but I don't know if it would be done easily. Just as someone else said, the team who works on the site is extremely small.

If a fruit bat is added, they could eat the berries that are in the game. But they disappear through winter, as well as most of the bugs.

During the winter, bats do one of the two things; take a long vacation to a warm place where they can find food, or hibernate.
