Your animal is now alive?

I was going to my account to destroy my animal and when I got there it said this:

"Request that your current animal be destroyed. (Your animal is now alive)"

I copied this right off the page. I don't know what would have caused it. Is it just a glitch? If it is a glitch, it's quite weird...

It's not a glitch. it's asking if you request to destroy your current animal which is, at the moment alive. But if your animal is already dead, the 'your animal is now alive' was always there anyway.

Yup, it's perfectly normal and just alerting you that your current animal is indeed still alive.
