My nest disapeared and it had chicks in it! Why''d it dissapear?

It was probably in a tree, and the wind blew your nest out.

No, it was in a hole in a tree.

Did you build the nest yourself? How long have you had the nest? Nests tend to wear away after 2 seasons and sometimes just randomly dissapear.

Yeah I built it, but when my chicks came my mate added a few twigs and stuff. And it was less then one season.

Odd.. Glitch maybe?
I can't really think of any other reason it would just disappear...

Oh... and after it went POOF my mate attacked me then left and never came back and I was forced to take care of the chicks myself but then all of them died before they grew. And my mate was a NPC.

Did you relog? Please involve details of EXACTLY what you did before it dissapeared. If you're a male and you relog you won't be recodnized as the father anymore. But I still don't know what happened with the nest.

OKay, I was a female bird mother of 4 with a npc mate. I built the nest then lead him to it, I went and got finishing touches such as more food, straw, twigs, sticks, when I came back I added everything then went to eat and look for my friend. I chatted with her until the egg meter turned red so i quickly ate again and went to my nest. I waited until they came then cleaned the eggs then went to get food. Me and my mate kept going back and forth collecting the food until one time I came he was with them and I dropped the food then my nest disappeared, then my mate came up to me and I thought he was going to clean me like he usually does before he goes but he attacked me and flew off never to be seen again. And the nest was their for less then one season. It was not blown out either because it was in the hole in the tree whick doesn't allow wind... i think.

The only thing I can think of is you accidentally wandering into a different nest.

Otherwise I have no idea.
