Ive decided to have a key this time, beause im too lazy to do certain stuff.

Like all things you MUST have a start, you cant just pop up and say, WELL IM A FULLY GROWN CONDOR LETZ GO, because thats breaking physics, there are 3 ways of doing this, 1 is to reincarnate into an NPC baby, start off as a lone or riencarnate into your friends chicks. But be warned! Predators LOVE to eat you!

If you start off as an NPC baby, you will automatically start off in a Condor Cave, with usually a sister and brother, if you DO start off as a NPC condor, do not go out, or find youself circled by predators. Condors are scavengers, but hunting is sometimes necassary if prey is scarce, so when you young, challenge you sister/brother as much as you can, for if you are a male, you need combat skills to challenge, win and gain domiance, EVEN if you are a female, Its best to gain combat skills too, for as if your fighting things off in your den.

http://bluester64.deviantart.com/art/We ... -189981189 -Example

If you start off as a Lone condor baby, you will spawn somewhere on the map, before you evern THINK about going off, make sure no predators are around, because you start off, lone if you dont consider your life you will most certainly die, though you have the freedom to run around, you have no safty, you cant fly and such, and you cant challenge, i reccomend starting off as an NPC chick.

http://bluester64.deviantart.com/art/We ... -189983745 -example

Being a player baby is fun but rare, if you have a friend with chicks, if you die you can incarnate into them! Now there are to ways i said this, you may have real player players, or have siblings of real players.

If you are able to survive, you must have an abundant food supply, water minerals and such, now, there are 4 main stautes, Food, Drink, Fat and Energy.

To eat, go up to a peice of meat, the meat could be of any age, and select Eat on the stautes bar and you'll be eating up. To drink, simply go to the creek and select drink, the creek can also be used for bathing and such.

To gain energy you must eat, the food in your stomach is transfurred into energy, and energy is transurred into Fat or doing stuff (Like hunting and challenging), Energy is important for every day lives.

Now fat, fat is something players may not care about, but fat is necasarry in cold wheather. Fat is made by energy, energy is made by foods, dont be fooled though, even on the hottest summer day dont get your fat down below naut.

You have been playing many animals, Herbivorous, Carnivorous or even Omnivorous. You are at the top of the food chain of the birds, which means you can eat meats and kill easy, though playing as a condor is hard for those herbivores...

Condors eat/drink:
Meat (of any age)
Regurigtated food (puke)
mud
gravel
dirt
water

Condors cant eat/drink:
Root
leaf
flower (of any type)
mushrooms
straw
seeds
Red berries
Blue berries
Solid Waste (o-O)
Liqued Waste(o_o)
Tall grass
short grass
Fruit form Cactus
Animal still alive
Pine trees
Rotting log
feather
hair

You have come a long way now, late winter is arriving, and flocks of condors roam the skies, its mating season! Make sure to preen and take care of yourself if you dont get sick.

When you mate, dont freak out because you havn't built a nest, condors dont need nests, for they live in Cliff_Nest_Sites.

If your a female, you dont need Domiance at all, just go out and mate! Besides, reproduction is the animals purpose! Because Condors are very rare, since no one plays them anymore, you may have a hard time finding a mate, but if you are lucky, they'll just be waiting for you! To mate you must be healthy and well groomed, otherwise they'll turn you down. To mate, flip to your secondary stautes page, you sosialisation bar is empty? Well to fill it up go to a male, do the acts of -Show affection- Or -mating dance- until your social bar is filled, ater its filled up, clean off any dirt and mate!

If your a male, its slightly different, because you NEED Domiance, after all, males can be competitive. To gain Domiance, challenge any condor around, until your domiance ranking is about 1/-Number of males- then do the same things as the females and you have mated!

You need a den, after all you dont want you chicks dumped on the ground, defencless of predators, the Condor can go into the following dens:

Large hole
Bear cave (that'd be a bad choice)
Cliff cave site

Condors cant have chicks in:
Small hole
Small hole in tree
Tree limb
Water fall

Though i require Cliff nest site
.

After you mated your mate will be paralyzed in the den (If its a npc) until your chicks ar born, becuase they aren't mammals, the chicks eat solids the moment there born, after they are born, quickley go out and get meats, also eat meat while your on the way, for you can regurgiatate food for the chicks. However, dont spend ALL your time getting food, your chicks will be dirty overtime, to clean them, you must selesct them and click the bubbles (Clean). Sometimes your chicks may make debris (poop) and if they roll around in it they'll get dirty, take the debris a far away from the den.

Make sure you mover the chicks in the den for parasites! You dont want to get your chicks under attack by fleas and such, otherwise, your just going to get your chicks sick and then the die.

Even though you DO fly, there are still threats,

Sickness
A sickness usually occurs when you dont car for your states, to heal it, try Sleep, lick minerals or eat, but thats just a normal sickness, if you have the OLD age sickness, its very leathal, some say of the lake or waterfall may heal you.

Poisen
Like sickness, if you a poisened by fire ants or bees, you can heal it by sleep, clean or minerals, but if you poisened by rattle snake, its alot more deadly, and it may take a long time to heal, if it doesn't heal at all, you might die.

For many people, im changing this stupid list, man. Its not like the world is going to blow up.

Predators
Blue bird= Prey
Fox= friendly
Mouse= prey
Rabbit=prey
Gecko= prey
cardinal= friendly
Rattle Snake= there friendlt but Dont attack them.
Kingsnake= look above
Hawk=Friendly
Bob Cats= Aggresive
Coyote= Aggresive
Elk= friendly, but dont attack them!
Buffalo= friendly but dont attack them!
goat= cute and fluffy and friendly! but dont attack them!
Wolf=friendly but dont attack them :l
Bear= dont attack them.

Gosh, thank you Mr perfectionists.

Surviving as a Condor (Guide)

Post by Alias »

Yes, I'm sure there already is a condor guide, but since I know more about playing this bird than I do with others, I thought perhaps I could share some hints and tips with you =3

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, we'll start with basics. To be a Condor you must have 16000 points, and there are two ways to play as one; either start off as a lone baby or as a NPC's chick. (To be an NPC's child go to My Account – Edit Player Game Options – Check 'Always start playing as an infant animal')
Life as a Loner
Your in this big scary world without any parents to keep an eye out for you, but dont worry, its quite easy to survive as a lone chick as long as you keep away from predators. Your biggest threats are Bobcats, Wolves, Coyotes, Bears. What I do when I'm a lone is I always chose Spring. In Spring you have a reasonable temperature and a nice amount of food. Remember to sleep or warm up in the smallest hole that you can get into. Try your best to keep away from predators, and be on guard at all times. Now, here's some Pros and Cons:
Pros: You have a nice variety of things to eat. NPC parents never give you any minerals or stones to lick/eat, so at least you'll have a nice healthy diet. You don't have to wait as long to become an adult.
Cons: Well, theres quite a few. Hungry predators everywhere, hardly any chance of increasing your combat, and your fully exposed to the elements.
Life as a NPC's chick
If there's one way to get the best possible start in life, I'll recommend being an NPC's chick, even if the parents aren't too bright. All you have to do is eat, sleep, and increase your combat. But remember, save some energy, because if you run out, you won't be able to move, and if the food is in a different box, you will just have to starve and rest for a bit. Here are some Pros and Cons:
Pros: You dont have to be on your guard all the time, and if you train hard, you will be able to fill your combat bar to the top before you leave the nest. You will stay hygienic as your parents will clean you.
Cons: Even though you dont have to look for food yourself, dont be surprised when I say its more likely you will starve than it is when you are a loner. You need to compete for food with your siblings. You wont have access to minerals or gravel, but there is little chance you will get sick because of that.
Food and Threats
You eat: Meat of any age, gravel, minerals, mud. There is quite a lot of competition with what you eat, so even though condors dont always hunt, its best if you work on your combat, and also aim for young animals.
There is no big threat posed to condors from other animals. As long as you dont attack other birds and big mammals, they will leave you alone. However, every predator will love to eat your chicks, see 'Mating' for more tips. Hunting is swift if you decide to go for baby goats and fawns, as long as you keep out of the herds way.
Remember, you are not a hunting animal, you are a scavenger, so aim for young animals that have just come out of their den.
Mating
Condors mate late winter. Of course, the best thing about being a condor is that you dont have to build a nest! For both genders, you need to find a suitable mate, socialise, and click that little heart button <3 Remember that you need to be clean before you request to mate otherwise you'll be rejected. For the best protection you must choose a cave in the cliffs up West, there are about 4-5. You will have 2-3 chicks.
TIP!: For extra protection, just in case a hawk or another condor happens to enter your cave and threaten the life of your chicks, make dirt (solid waste) outside your cave, like a territory marker, so that passers by know that inside that cave, a parent is ready to fight to the death to protect its chicks ;]
Male
All you have to do is make sure your rank is higher than 50 percent of all other male condors, and your ready to seek your perfect mate. Lead your mate to a safe empty cave up in the cliffs and while she is in freeze mode, bring food to the cave to get a head start. You can check when the eggs will be ready on your mates special egg timer. When the eggs have been hatched, all you have to do is make sure you follow my top tip (scroll up) and bring food to your chicks, clean them and take good care of them till they are ready to leave the cave.
Multi-mating
Since your a male, you can multi-mate ;] I'd recommend that you check inside all of the condor caves first, before other condors take them. Find a female, socialise, then click the heart button for mating. Lead your female to a condor cave and then go outside and do the same. Repeat the process until your satisfied. Remember to feed all of your chicks and try your best to keep them all safe.
WARNING: Do not put two females in the same cave. They will fight to the death. If you do make this mistake, try to pick one up and put her in a different cave.
Female
Now you have a special duty. After mating, lead your mate to a safe empty den and do the same: bring food to the den to get a head start. Keep an eye on your special egg timer. When the time has come... well, you know the rest ;]
TIP: Always leave a guard posted in the den. Take turns to go out and find food for your chicks ;]
The Red Age
You are now an elder, your life is almost over. If you have reached this age, you are indeed very lucky ;] Over time you have raised many chicks. The Red Age is a sickness that will eventually kill you, but your lifes goal has been achieved. You have passed on your genes to the next generation, and that is, ultimately, what life is all about ;]
Thanks for reading, I hope you found this guide helpful =3
Do not advertise your condor flock/ask people to join on this thread. As well, stay on topic and do not write in all caps. Thanks!
You should ad "Mating; Males" that they can easily mate with more than one female and take care of multiple families at once. In two years time my condor is the father of 12 new condors :) And the points ad up more quickly as well!
Yeah, I do that all the time when I’m playing as a male... But I usually move all the chicks to a new hole and take care of them all together-
Um, the waterfall hole is not accesible, one topic who's current owner is Ragdoll, labled Q & A, says that inside is an ancient fungi (mushroom) that would change the WEO worlds forever. Sorry :?
Shadow's Condor Tips
Post by shadow-wolf »
OK, so u may want tips to survive as a condor right? well read this and u will survive as long as i can!! lol! ok so here goes:
incarnating condor chicks:
ok, so when u re incarnate into a condor its pretty hard to get food right? because that annoying sibling is stealing all the food right? well, heres the solution:
ok so when you incarnate in all ways possible KILL the sibling , you MUST do this! as:
A) you get more food for the upcoming events in your condor chick life
B) you also get a little more combat
Suggested ways for killing:
most people dive in to kill them, Trust me! that is falure as soon for the first hit!, you will loose masses of energy, food, water and fat to do so and, therefore killing yourself
so i usually go for the starving, dont leave your sibling outside as he/she will die anyway - which i guess is good - BUT if you wanna risk the hawks getting it then i wouldn't and also he/she might grow and fly to safety.
What i do is simply pick him/her up and wait till i get full combat to leave the cave and kill him/her there.
those are the only killing solutions i have...
now you remember i said you needed the food? thats for combat, its best advisable to have at least half combat but if your confidant go for the full.
normal condor chicks:
ok so u firs step foot in the world of danger, my advise is to find some where to call home, this is also where you will store food for a while, i would find a fox hole by the cliffs where the condors live near water, then, when you grow you can easly move your food from the hole to your new cliff home! as for combating, if you dont have many of your friend with you, and your on your own, combat whenever you find a condor of your gender, you dont have to be in the exact square as the condor by the way, build your combat up to at least half or somewhat above, even though condors are scavengers, if there isnt food around it helps to hunt the odd mouse or two. combat also helps when mating, if your a male and with females its just easy as pie!.
Extra condor tips
OK so you must have been waiting for this part! this is the part where i give you some tips or you ask me questions! so, ask away! im going to add some bits that i know so...
. what many people do - myself included - is that they combt when they have chicks! this helps yourself as they dont run away!!!
. what i do - i dont know if anyone else does too - is i store live animals in an escapible cave where they will die! this may seem cruel but its easier than using energy killin them!
Thats all i have now so if you want any questions you wanna ask, ask now
